“He (Shubman Gill) is tactically astute and never loses his calm. He will never shout at a player on the field. In that way, his captaincy style is more akin to MS Dhoni’s rather than Virat Kohli’s. His team-mates like him. The senior players are ready to help him. He has created a pretty close-knit dressing-room atmosphere,” an insder told RevSportz.

Both Kohli and Dhoni had success during their respective captaincy tenures but both had different ways of running the team. While Virat Kohli was more aggressive as a captain, Dhoni remained calm and read the match-situation brilliantly.
