The Pakistan National Cricket Team has been in the news for a while. The main reason behind this performance has been their poor form across all formats. This has given them a lot of criticism, especially with some of the big names being there in the squad as well.

Recently, they succumbed to an embarrassing defeat at the hands of West Indies cricket team. The two teams clashed in the three-match T20I series and the three-match ODI series. While Pakistan won the T20I series, West Indies came back hard in the 50-over series with a historic victory. Once known as one of the best teams in world cricket, this loss is another proof of Pakistan's downfall.

Pakistan Lost to West Indies in 3rd ODI

After Pakistan lost to West Indies in 3rd ODI, they created an unwanted record. With a 202-run loss, this was the first time in 50 years that Pakistan lost an ODI match by a margin of more than 200 runs against the West Indies team. As a result, Mohammad Rizwan created an unwanted record to his name.

The first game between the teams was played in Birmingham on June 11, 1975. They surpassed their previous record of a 150-run loss, which came during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 clash in Christchurch on February 21, 2015.

West Indies Defeat Pakistan in ODI Series

After winning the T20I series, Pakistan started the ODI series on a high. In what was a hard-fought game, the Mohammad Rizwan-led side completed a five-wicket win in the first match. They chased down a stiff target of 281 runs in the 49th over, putting the hosts under pressure.

However, nothing went their way after this game as the West Indies made a solid comeback. In what was a rain-affected game, the Shai Hope-led side chased the revised target of 181 runs with five wickets and ten balls to spare, levelling the series. In the series decider, Pakistan were at the receiving end of humiliation. Asked to bat first, the West Indies had a terrific outing with the bat with skipper Shai Hope slamming his 18th ton in the format. The West Indies skipper showed why is one of the best ODI batters in the world.

In the chase, Pakistan looked out of sorts as they failed to get going as the West Indies bowlers were all over the batters. Salman Ali Agha was the top run-getter for his team as he slammed 30 runs while other batters failed to score big as the Mohammad Rizwan-led side got all out for 92 runs, with West Indies winning the game by 202 runs.

Pakistan Clinch T20I Series

The WI vs PAK T20I series went in Pakistan's favour as the young side had a decent outing with the bat and ball. Despite being put under pressure, they managed to lift themselves and ended up winning the series by a margin of 2-1. The first game of the series went in favour of Pakistan as they completed a brilliant Lauderhill in Florida by 14 runs.

West Indies then made a solid comeback in the second match, winning the match by a barest margin of two runs. In the last game of the series, Pakistan emerged victorious by a margin of 13 runs to win the series. With them winning, it was expected that they would come up with good performances in the ODI series, but that didn't go the way they would've wanted.
