Punjab Kings' Cryptic Post for IND-PAK Asia Cup Match Goes Viral: Find Out Why

The India vs Pakistan clash has been in the news for the last few months. This is because the tension between the nations flared up after the Pahalgham terror attack. Following the Operation Sindoor, there were calls to cut all the sporting ties with Pakistan.

Many fans and experts raised calls to boycott the clash against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025. Some even said that Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) should boycott the entire tournament. The governing body also faced a lot of criticism for scheduling the game against Pakistan.

However, Indian sports ministry released an official statement on sporting ties with Pakistan. The statement from the government said that India won’t be playing bilateral games with Pakistan but they can play in the Asian events as well as the International Cricket Council events.

Hence, the India vs Pakistan clash in the Asia Cup 2025 got the green signal. The match will be played as per the schedule. The captain of both teams didn’t interact during the pre-tournament and the news became viral with many reports even suggesting that neither team even shook hands.

One such gesture came from the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Punjab Kings (PBKS). They posted the preview picture for the match, posting a picture of Suryakumar Yadav and Shubman Gill, with the caption: “Game 2️⃣ for the defending champions. Let's goooo.”

However, what caught the attention of many was that PBKS didn't add the logo of Pakistan. They posted the logo of the BCCI but kept the space blank, where the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) logo was supposed to be. Also, the Punjab Kings IND vs PAK post didn't have Pakistan players to their poster.

India Start Asia Cup 2025 On a Bright Note

India had a magnificent start to their campaign in the Asia Cup 2025. They locked horns with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the opening match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 10 and emerged victorious, winning the game by a massive margin of nine wickets. With this huge winning margin, India showed why they are one of the best cricket teams in the world.

Opting to field first, the Men in Blue bundled out the UAE for just 57 runs.
