As India started their batting on Day 2, a change in the batting order was observed as Shubman Gill didn't come at No. 4 and was not even seen padded up for batting. According to reports, Shubman Gill, one of the best Test batsmen in the world, is most likely to miss the whole warm-up game and give more days of rest to his injured finger and be fully fit for the first Test match to take place in Galle.

The management has decided to give another day for Gill's injured finger to heal. However, videos have been circulating on social media about Gill working with the S&C coach to keep his fitness tight for the rest of the series.
