Rinku Singh's Manifestation Comes True as India Lift Asia Cup 2025 Title

India have won the Asia Cup trophy for the ninth time after beating Pakistan by five wickets on September 28 at the Dubai International Stadium. While chasing 147 runs, Indian batters struggled to form partnerships but somehow managed to win the game, thanks to Tilak Varma and Shivam Dube's 60-run partnership.

However, Rinku Singh was the one who scored the winning runs for India. He was facing his first ball of the tournament but maintained his cool to smash Haris Rauf over mid-off for a boundary. Rinku ran in celebration after hitting the winning runs as the whole Indian team joined him.

How Did Rinku Singh Manifestation Comes True?

Playing his first match in the Asia Cup 2025, Rinku Singh got just one ball to face when India needed one run to win. He made the most out of the opportunity, and showed why he is regarded one of the best finishers in the world. Interestingly, before the tournament started, when Rinku was asked about his wish, he manifested that he would hit the winning runs for India.

After three weeks of hard fought cricket, Rinku Singh manifestation came true as he helped India lift the trophy. Fittingly, he hit the winning runs as India clinched the ninth Asia Cup title. Not only Rinku, there were other players as well whose manifestations did come true. While Tilak Varma wrote that he wants to score runs in the final match, Varun Chakaravarthy manifested India to remain unbeaten in the tournament. What the players wrote on the paper wasn't just words, it was pure belief.

Team India denied Asia Cup 2025 Trophy

Despite winning the match against Pakistan, the Indian national cricket team were denied the Asia Cup 2025 trophy. The trophy was presented by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)'s chairman Mohsin Naqvi. However, the Indian players made their stand clear that they don't want to take the trophy from a man who holds an important position in Pakistan's ministry.

After waiting for an hour for the post-match presentations, neither party were ready to compromise on the matter. Hence, they didn't collect the trophy and their medals from Mohsin Naqvi. Moreover, after the presentation was over, the Indian team celebrated the victory without the trophy. The players posted the pictures on social media with a fake image of the trophy on their pictures.

Suryakumar Yadav, one of the best T20 batsmen in the world and India's captain, expressed his emotions at the press conference regarding the trophy controversy. He clearly mentioned that India don't need a trophy to showcase they are the champions.

"This is one thing which I have never seen since I started playing and following cricket. That a champion team is denied to get a trophy, that too a hard-earned one. I feel we deserved it, and I can’t say anything more. My trophies are sitting in my dressing room, all the 14 guys with me, all the support staff, those are the real trophies," Suryakumar said at the post-match press conference.

It was an incredible final match where India defeated Pakistan by five wickets. Rinku Singh winning runs took India home in a game that went down to the last over. The IND vs PAK Asia Cup final lived up to the expectations as both teams gave everything to win the game. The Men in Blue prevailed in the end.
