The wedding ceremony was supposed to take place on November 23 in Sangli, Maharashtra, at Mandhana’s farmhouse. However, Smriti Mandhana wedding cancelled was a message to the guests due to the sudden health issues in the family. On the day of the wedding, when Smriti Mandhana’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, was getting ready for the marriage, he had a heart attack.

Smriti Mandhana father heart attack became the talk of the town, and he was rushed to the hospital. As soon as the Indian cricket team batter learned about the development, she postponed the marriage and then went to the hospital. Tuhin Mishra, Smriti’s business manager, confirmed the news while speaking to PTI. He stated that the batter’s father is under observation and tests are being conducted.

“Smriti Mandhana’s father has not been feeling well since this morning. He was rushed to a hospital in Sangli, and he is currently under observation while various tests are being conducted,” Mandhana’s manager stated.

Smriti Mandhana Marriage Update

As of now, Smriti Mandhana wedding has been postponed for an indefinite period of time. Her manager stated that it was the decision of Smriti that she wants to postpone the marriage, and the call on that will be taken after that. He stated that Smriti’s father is under observation and has been asked to stay in the hospital for a few days. Providing a further update, he said:

Since the last few days, Smriti Mandhana wedding has been in the news with many pictures and videos coming out justifying her to be one of the most beautiful women cricketers in the world. So far, Haldi, Sangeet, and Mehandi ceremonies have taken place, but the couple will have to wait to get the official tag of being married. Several Indian women’s cricketers, including Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh, and others, have graced the occasion. But now, the marriage is indefinitely postponed, and everyone has to wait to get the official update about it from the family.

Coming to her cricket, Smriti was the star for India with the bat in the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025. She slammed over 430 runs in the tournament and was the highest run-getter for India in the event, registering the record for most runs in a single edition of a World Cup by an Indian batter. Her heroics with the bat helped India end the ICC title drought and win their first-ever World Cup under Harmanpreet Kaur, making her one of the best women cricketers.
