The first-ever Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup for the Blind was scheduled from 11 to 23 November 2025, with matches hosted across New Delhi and Bengaluru in India, along with Colombo in Sri Lanka. The historic tournament featured seven teams: India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia, England and the United States, who competed in a round-robin league format comprising 21 matches, followed by two semi-finals and the final.

India emerged as the standout side of the competition, as they remained unbeaten in the entire tournament to claim the historic title.
In the final at the P Sara Oval in Colombo, one of the smallest cricket stadiums in the world, the Indian bowlers restricted Nepal to 114 for five. It was an easy and convincing chase for India as they reached 117 for three in just 12.1 overs.

It was a memorable and emotional occasion as Mrs. Nita Ambani felicitated the India Blind Women’s Cricket Team with a warm gesture of recognition during the 'United In Triumph' event in Mumbai. In appreciation of their outstanding performance for their title-winning campaign at the Blind Women’s T20 World Cup, the Reliance Foundation awarded the team a cheque of ₹5 crore.
The entire squad was specially invited to attend the event, where cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar joined Mrs. Ambani on stage to honour the champions. The players were visibly moved by the recognition and support shown towards their remarkable achievement from the God of cricket himself.
Apart from this, ₹25 lakh was the total prize pool for team and individual awards across all six participating countries. The distribution of the prize money, including the amount awarded to the champions, was finalised by the organising body, the Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI), but the exact share for the winning team, India, was not particularly disclosed.

After India’s historic victory at the inaugural Women’s T20 World Cup for the Blind, the Chief Ministers of Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh showed significant support to the players from their respective states.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced a cash reward of ₹10 lakh each for players from Karnataka and assured them of government jobs, while players from other states in the squad were awarded ₹2 lakh each for their contribution to the title-winning campaign.
Karnataka CM congratulated the team on X. He said, “ Congratulations to the members of India's Blind Women's cricket team, the World Cup winners, and best wishes for their future sporting life to be filled with such successes.”
The announcement was made during a felicitation programme where the CM praised the team’s performance and described their achievement as a source of inspiration.
Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav honoured three state players, Sunita Sarathe, Sushma Patel and Durga Yewale, during a special ceremony in Bhopal, announcing a reward of ₹25 lakh for each player, comprising ₹10 lakh in cash and ₹15 lakh in fixed deposits.
