In the ongoing first Test match between India and England at Headingley, a heated argument took place between Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj and English batter Harry Brook. There was some exchange of words between the two, and some eye contact as well. However, the matter didn't escalate much. On day three, tired of England's batters, Siraj tried to heat up the atmosphere as the batter was batting in the 84th over.

Harry Brook misjudged the ball, and it went and hit him on the elbow and went towards the offside. Mohammed Siraj tried to use the moment to sledge the batter and create some pressure on him. After the over was done, Brook reached the non-striker's end, and an altercation was seen between the two.

Harry Brook Misses Out On Well-Deserved Ton
In the 87th over, Brook missed out on a well-deserved century as he was dismissed on 99 runs by Prasidh Krishna. It was a heartbreaking moment for the batter, who looked in great touch throughout the match. Harry Brook was quite lucky in this innings as he was dropped twice and was even dismissed off a no-ball. He did capitalise on those opportunities, but sadly ran out of luck while trying to achieve the 3-digit mark.
However, the damage was done as when it looked like the Indian bowlers were back in the game, Brook's quick 99-run knock off just 112 balls shattered their hopes. His knock included 12 fours and 2 sixes.
The Indian team won't be happy with their performance, especially in the bowling and fielding departments. It was only Bumrah who looked like a threat to the English batters initially; however, other pacers also started contributing while starting the third day of the match. Shardul Thakur wasn't at his best, while Ravindra Jadeja created a few opportunities but didn't get any wickets.
On top of that, India's fielding didn't complement the bowlers, with multiple catch drops and fielding blunders that helped the Three Lions to be in the game. England ended up scoring 465 runs in their first innings, with India getting a slender 6-run lead, despite scoring 471 runs.
Jasprit Bumrah Leads From the Front
Once again, it was Jasprit Bumrah who wrapped up the tail after dismantling England's top order. He got his 12th five-fers in 34 away Test matches and is one the top of the list of most five-wicket hauls by an Indian bowler in away Test matches, equaling the legendary Kapil Dev's record, who achieved this milestone in 66 Tests. Apart from Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna picked up three wickets while Mohammed Siraj managed to get two wickets.
India's second innings didn't start on a great note as they lost their star opener Yashasvi Jaiswal cheaply on just four runs. It was a great delivery from England pacer Brydon Carse, getting Jaiswal caught behind. However, debutant Sai Sudharsan and KL Rahul steadied the ship and have already built a 50-run stand for the second wicket.
