Delhi Premier League 2025: Where to Watch DPL 2025 Live?

The Delhi Premier League (DPL) is set to return with its second edition after the successful completion of the inaugural season last year. The season is set to begin on August 2 and will then follow a month of cricketing action before playing the final on August 31. Eight teams will be seen competing in the league stage matches, and then, based on their points table ranking, only four will make it to the knockout stage of the league.

Designed as a domestic franchise T20 competition for Delhi-based cricketers, the league has been organized by the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) to give players more visibility and also provide opportunities to local players, boosting the talent in the stage of capital city. This season promises to be more exciting as the league expands from six to eight teams with the introduction of two new franchises, Outer Delhi Warriors and New Delhi Tigers. The league will begin with an opening match between the defending Champions, East Delhi Riders and runner-ups South Delhi Superstarz. It will bring back last year's final live yet again, where the Riders defeated the South Delhi Superstarz by 3 runs in a close contest. An opening ceremony will also take place before the first game, featuring performances and formal presentations to kick off the tournament at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

With eight teams competing in the season, including North Delhi Strikers, South Delhi Superstarz, East Delhi Riders, Central Delhi Kings, Purani Dilli 6, Outer Delhi Warriors, West Delhi Lions, and New Delhi Tigers, the DPL 2025 will follow a round-robin format. Each team will play the others, and the top four teams will qualify for the playoffs.

As for the players to watch this season, fans would be eager to see how the young stars like Priyansh Arya and Ayush Doseja, who have shown promising performances in past games. Ayush Badoni, Anuj Rawat, Himmat Singh, Priyansh Arya, and Harshit Rana have been retained by their respective franchises.

One of India's best wicketkeepers going around, Rishabh Pant, was earlier set to be part of the league with Purani Dilli 6, but has been ruled out of the season due to his foot fracture during the Test series in England. However, the fans can still enjoy the league as it will have feature some of the most talented players of the city.
