The Women's Premier League (WPL) 2026 is a few months away but the anticipation is on the rise. After the Women's ODI World Cup 2025, the fans have been waiting patiently to see the marquee players list for the upcoming WPL auction 2026 that is scheduled on November 27 in Delhi.

A total of eight players are included in the marquee list including two Indians. All these players are among the best women cricketers in the world and are first-choice players for their international teams.
Deepti Sharma, Laura Wolvaardt to Headline WPL Auction Marquee List
For the upcoming auction, Deepti Sharma, Alyssa Healy, and Laura Wolvaardt will headline the marquee players list. Along with these players, Renuka Singh, Sophie Devine, Sophie Ecclestone, Amelia Kerr, and Meg Lanning are also on this list.
While they all are in the list, their base prices differ. Since it's a mega auction, franchises will have to consider their WPL auction team budget before spending fortunes on any player. Moreover, WPL teams purse value is INR 41.1 crore. The franchises have retained a few players and now will look to fill their teams. Meanwhile, Renuka's reserve price is Rs. 40 lakh while Laura Wolvaardt has a price of Rs. 30 lakh. The rest of the players have a price of Rs. 50 lakh.
How Many Players Have Made into WPL Auction List?
The WPL auction list has a total of 277 players and are grouped into 39 sets. When it comes to the auction price, around 19 players have a high price of Rs. 50 lakh, including Georgia Wareham, Harleen Deol, Kranti Goud, Uma Chetry, Pratika Rawal, Pooja Vastrakar, Phoebe Litchfield, and others. There are likely 73 slots open (23 overseas) that is spread across five franchises. Moreover, a total of 155 uncapped, 83 overseas, and four players from Associate nations will be a part of the WPL auction.

There are many experienced players in the WPL but the youngest capped of them are Bangladesh's Shorna Akter and West Indies' Jahzara Claxton. Among the five franchises, UP Warriorz Women have the highest purse value of Rs. 14.5 crores since they retained just Shweta Sehrawat. Next are Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians with Rs. 5.7 crore and Rs. 5.75 crore, respectively.
This time, like the IPL, the teams will get a chance to use Right To Match (RTM) cards during the auction. A total of eight RTM cards will be used. The Warriorz have four RTM cards under their name. The auction will start in the morning and will continue till evening. There is only day allotted for the WPL auction to take place in Delhi. Since the franchises have to fill their squads, the buys will have to be smart. The fans will enjoy the WPL auction coming up later this month.
