Timed Finishing was first introduced in FIFA 19 and carried on till 2025. This mechanic was used for a combination of low, powerful, and accurate shot at goal. However, many players complained about the excessive mechanics of the game and its inability to let the game flow naturally. Many felt that its mechanics were unrealistic and disturbed the natural flow of the game. The move also produced some malfunctions from time to time, leading to agitations over its precision.

By its removal, there are other ways to learn accurate shooting, including learning new modes and tricks like precision shooting, which is much more natural and effective in the game.
