The 2025 UEFA Women's Euro will be played in Switzerland from 2 to 27 July 2025. This will be the 14th edition of this tournament, and it will be the third edition of the tournament since its expansion into 16 teams. The tournament will return to its usual four-year cycle, however, after the previous tournament was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. England are the defending champions, as they won the tournament in the 2022 edition.

History of UEFA Women's Euro Tournament

The tournament was first introduced in 1957, when the International Ladies Football Association decided to host a ladies' Euro tournament. In the inaugural season, the tournament was first played with four teams, including the host nation. After the first edition of the tournament, the FICF eventually decided to merge with the Italian football federation and expand the tournament. Italy was the host country for the second edition and eventually they won the tournament on that season.

The third and final expansion occurred in between 2009 to 2012, where they increased the participating teams to 12. And in 2017, they again added four more slots, and the final expanded team was 16. Since the introduction of the tournament, Germany have been the most successful team in the competition.
