For now, it's Nigeria that Egypt have to negotiate with as the side looks to blow away the cobwebs before flying to Morocco. Hassan has called up 28 players for the upcoming tournament, including Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah. Manchester City striker Omar Marmoush has been summoned, but like Salah, he too could be rested for tonight's friendly, as the manager is cautious against picking up key injuries right before the tournament.

Mohamed Salah has endured a tough run with the Reds this season, netting only four goals from 14 games in the Premier League as the defending English champions have flattered to deceive big time in the competition. With six defeats in 16 games already, Liverpool are down in seventh, and while many players have struggled to hit their stride, the blame has largely fallen on Salah, leading to a fallout with his manager, too. Marmoush, too, hasn't pulled up any trees with City, failing to score in any of his 10 top-flight appearances, although many of them had come off the bench in the dying seconds.
