This will be an emotional game for both clubs and their respective set of fans, as together they will remember the life of Diogo Jota, who passed away earlier this year. It is believed that Diogo's sons will be mascots in this game.

Speaking strictly about the game, the narrative could well have been a battle of two struggling teams in the Premier League. But the hosts have changed their fortune recently following their back-to-back wins. Their recent 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur away from home now sees them in sixth position in the Premier League table. On the other hand, it has been a terrible campaign so far for Wolves. With their recent 0-2 defeat against Brentford, they see themselves at the bottom of the Premier League table with only 2 points.

While Alexander Isak, one of the Premier League's most expensive signings, has made the difference in their last game, will miss the home fixture against Wolves after picking up a nasty injury while scoring the goal. Arne Slot will miss Dominik Szoboszlai due to suspension, and Mo Salah, one of the all-time Premier League greats, is also out due to his AFCON duties. While Cody Gakpo can make his return to the first team, Slot hasn't shared his confirmation on the Dutchman during the conference.
