Marc Guiu is a Spanish striker who plays for Chelsea. Hailing from Granollers, Barcelona, Guiu began his career with Penya Barcelonista Sant Celoni, a fan club of La Liga side Barcelona. Following this, he went to join La Masia for the first time in June 2023. Guiu made his unofficial debut for Barcelona when he came on as a substitute for Robert Lewandowski in a pre-season match against Japanese side Vissel Kobe.
Guiu realized that with Lewandowski's presence in the squad, his opportunities would be scarce, and as such, with careful consideration, the 19-year-old chose to depart Camp Nou. He ventured into English football with Chelsea, who offered him an attractive project and a chance to grow in the Premier League. Despite initial hesitation, Guiu finally decided on a move to London to try out his luck. Even though he remained in matchday squads, he played a limited number of games (14) throughout the season. However, his performance in those matches was quite praiseworthy. Guiu has managed to score 6 goals, which shows his effectiveness and ability to make the most of every opportunity. Despite his decent performance, the La Masia graduate could very well be on his way to Espanyol. According to El Nacional, the Los Periquitos are very keen on signing him.
