Rodrygo was born in Osasco, Brazil back on January 9, 2001, to Eric Goes and Denise Goes. His father, Eric, was a professional footballer and played in different divisions of Brazilian football as a right-back. His father’s unmatched passion for football led Rodrygo Silva to pursue a career in the sport. At the age of ten, Rodrygo Silva joined the Santos youth academy and primarily played Futsal with the team. It was in 2017 when Rodrygo Silva finally got a promotion to the main squad playing in Série A.
The Brazilian winger's ability to dribble past defenders like they are some training cones defines his style. Although he's not the fastest of the lot but his intelligence while having the ball at his feet makes him one of the best in recent times. His ability to cut inside and curl shots with a timing run makes it difficult to defend. Just like his hat trick against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League. Rodrygo has developed a habit of performing at big events and games.
