AC Milan 3-2 Atalanta Player Ratings: Rabiot 9.0/10 as the Rossoneri Hold Off La Dea in a Breathtaking San Siro Thriller

Ruben Amorim’s AC Milan delivered a performance of genuine quality and collective character at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, holding off a spirited Atalanta BC fightback to claim a crucial 3-2 Serie A victory that keeps the Rossoneri firmly in the title conversation heading into the business end of the early season. Maurizio Sarri’s La Dea, who had looked toothless in their defeat to Juventus, arrived with renewed intent, and despite falling three goals behind, produced a second-half response of sufficient quality to make the closing stages genuinely uncomfortable for Amorim’s side.

The match’s defining narrative was built across two contrasting halves. AC Milan’s first-half display was precise, clinical and authoritative, Ramos’ penalty, Rabiot’s stunning 43rd-minute strike and Gila’s 57th-minute finish giving the Rossoneri a commanding three-goal cushion that appeared to have settled the contest. Yet Ramos’ missed second penalty proved a costly failure to kill the tie, with Atalanta’s Gaetano and Krstovic both converting to set up a nervy finale that tested every ounce of Milan’s defensive resolve.

Adrien Rabiot was the match’s outstanding individual, his composed penalty-area movement, defensive intelligence, and the stunning technique of his 43rd-minute strike earning a thoroughly deserved 9.0/10 rating that reflects his growing status as the most complete midfielder in Ruben Amorim’s system. The Frenchman’s ability to contribute at both ends of the pitch with equal authority made him the difference-maker in a match that demanded someone to step up when the pressure intensified.
