Timon Wellenreuther - 7.0: He really couldn't have done anything about the goal, it was a fantastic strike. Made four saves, a couple of which were sharp stops to keep his team in the contest. His distribution was decent, and he commanded his box well enough. A solid, if ultimately defeated, performance.

Defenders

Bart Nieuwkoop - 6.0: It was a short and unfortunate outing for the defender. He was forced off with an injury just 33 minutes in. Before that, he showed some attacking intent, getting into a good position for a header he should have done better with. Hard to give a higher rating with such limited time on the pitch.

Tsuyoshi Watanabe - 7.0: A really solid performance at the heart of the defence. We noticed his composure on the ball, with an impressive 91% pass accuracy. He was strong in the tackle and won most of his duels. Feyenoord looked weaker after he was substituted.

Gijs Smal - 6.5: A mixed bag from Smal. He was a willing runner down the left flank and got into some dangerous areas. However, his final product often let him down, and he was caught out of position once or twice. He had a decent chance after a corner but fluffed his lines.
