Atletico Madrid Vs Levante Player Ratings

Levante Player Ratings vs Atlético Madrid

Check out Levante Player Ratings from Atletico vs Levante game:

Goalkeeper

Mathew Ryan - 8.5: What a performance from the Levante shot-stopper. Honestly, without him, this could have been a cricket score. He made a staggering eight saves, many of them from point-blank range. We noticed his excellent positioning and quick reflexes time and time again. He commanded his area with authority, claiming high balls and relieving pressure. Conceding three goals was no reflection on his individual display; his defense simply let him down. An outstanding and heroic effort in a losing cause.

Defenders

Matías Moreno - 6.0: A really tough night for the defender. He was constantly under pressure from Atlético Madrid's relentless attack. He did manage six clearances which shows how busy he was. However, he struggled to cope with the movement of players like Julián Alvarez. From our perspective, he looked a step off the pace for most of the game. He held his position but was part of a backline that was breached too easily.

Adrián de la Fuente - 5.5: A day to forget. The own goal in the 12th minute was a cruel blow that set the tone for Levante's difficult evening. While he made a high number of clearances (nine), that stat just highlights how much defending he had to do. He did get an assist for his side's late consolation goal, but the damage was already done. It felt like he never truly recovered his confidence after the early mistake.

Jeremy Toljan - 6.0: He was busy down the flank but ultimately struggled to make a positive impact. He lost possession a frustrating 15 times, which often put his team on the back foot immediately. He tried to get forward and support the attack but his final ball was lacking. Defensively, he was caught out of position on a few occasions. A hard-working but ineffective performance before being substituted.

Manu Sánchez - 7.5: The standout performer in Levante's outfield players. He scored a fantastic header to bring his team level in the first half, showing great desire to attack the ball. On top of his goal, he was solid defensively, winning all four of his tackles. He was a constant threat and showed real fight. It was a shame his efforts weren't matched by all of his teammates.

Midfielders

Unai Elgezabal - 6.5: A mixed bag of a performance. He was a physical presence in the midfield, winning a decent number of duels. However, his passing was not as sharp as it needed to be, with only 68% accuracy. What stood out to us was the big chance he missed late in the game which could have made things interesting. He put in a shift but lacked the quality to truly influence the game.

Jon Ander Olasagasti - 6.5: Provided a great assist for Manu Sánchez's goal with a well-delivered cross. That was the high point of his game. The low point was losing possession 14 times and picking up a yellow card. He showed flashes of creativity but his overall game was too inconsistent and he was rightly substituted.

K. Arriaga - 5.0: A very difficult evening for the midfielder. The most glaring moment was his error that led to a goal, a mistake you just can't make against a team like Atlético Madrid. He seemed to be chasing shadows for large parts of the match. While he made seven clearances, he was a liability in possession and struggled to cope with the opposition's midfield rotation.

Carlos Álvarez - 7.5: Levante's creative spark throughout the match. He created four chances, including two big chances, and looked the most likely to unlock the Atlético defence. His passing was crisp and accurate, and he was always looking to make something happen. A really bright performance in a losing side, showing his quality on the ball.

Forwards

Roger Brugué - 6.0: A quiet and frustrating game for the captain. He was isolated for long periods and struggled to get involved in the play, managing only 18 touches in 74 minutes. He was caught offside once and didn't register a single shot. He worked hard off the ball but offered very little attacking threat before being taken off.

Karl Etta Eyong - 6.5: A performance full of energy and running, but it lacked a cutting edge. He was successful with all three of his dribble attempts, showing his willingness to take players on. However, he lost possession 15 times and his final product was poor. He fought hard and made a nuisance of himself, but ultimately didn't trouble the scorers.

Substitutes

Goduine Koyalipou - 6.5: Came on and had a header saved, showing some intent.
José Luis Morales - 6.0: Had one decent chance saved by Jan Oblak but was otherwise quiet.
Oriol Rey - N/A: Not on long enough to make an impact.
Alan Matturro - N/A: Came on late to see the game out.
Víctor García - N/A: A late substitute with little time to influence proceedings.

Manager

J. Calero Fernández - 6.0: His team showed fight, especially to equalize in the first half. However, they were tactically outmaneuvered. They were far too open at the back and invited wave after wave of pressure. His substitutions didn't change the flow of the game, and his side was well beaten in the end.

Atletico Madrid Player Ratings vs Levante

Here are Atletico Madrid Player Ratings from Atletico vs Levante game:

Goalkeeper

Jan Oblak - 6.5: A relatively quiet day at the office for the Atleti keeper. He couldn't do much about the goal he conceded, a well-placed header. He made two important saves when called upon, particularly one in the second half to deny José Luis Morales. His distribution was solid. Did everything that was asked of him without being spectacular.

Defenders

José María Giménez - 7.0: A solid defensive display, though he picked up a late yellow card. What stood out to us was his threat from set-pieces, though he'll be disappointed he didn't convert one of his three headed chances. He was strong in the air, winning four aerial duels. A commanding presence at the back, but he could have had a goal to his name.

Matteo Ruggeri - 7.0: A very good performance from the full-back. He was excellent in possession, with a 92% pass accuracy. Defensively, he was impeccable, winning all four of his tackles. He also got forward to support the attack, forcing a good save with a header. An all-action display before he was substituted.

Marcos Llorente - 7.5: Provided the crucial assist for Griezmann's first goal with a smart piece of play. He was a constant outlet on the right flank, with his energy and running causing problems all game. He was defensively sound and used the ball intelligently. His yellow card was a minor blot on an otherwise excellent performance.

Dávid Hancko - 7.0: A calm and composed performance. His passing from the back was superb, with an 87% completion rate and an impressive 13 passes into the final third. He read the game well, making a key interception and five clearances. He wasn't tested much defensively but was flawless when called upon.

Midfielders

Koke - 7.5: The captain ran the show from midfield. He completed 83 passes and dictated the tempo of the entire match. From our perspective, his control and game management were key to Atlético Madrid's dominance. He also chipped in defensively with three tackles won. A classy and authoritative performance.

Pablo Barrios - 6.5: An energetic but slightly frustrating performance. He got into good positions and had a couple of shots, but lacked the final product. He was tidy in possession but didn't have the incisive impact of some of his teammates before being subbed off for the game-changer.

Álex Baena - 7.0: He was a livewire, constantly looking to create. He whipped in 12 crosses and created three chances, but his final ball was often hit-and-hope. He lost possession 22 times which is far too many. A very active and involved performance, but it lacked a bit of polish.

Giuliano Simeone - 6.5: He showed great energy and movement, always looking to run in behind. He forced a good save from Ryan and was a willing runner. However, he also missed a good chance on a counter-attack. A promising display that just needed a bit more composure in the final third.

Forwards

Alexander Sørloth - 6.0: A tough outing for the big striker. He was well-marshalled by the Levante defence and lost most of his aerial duels. He barely had a sniff at goal before being substituted on the hour mark. Not his day.

Julián Alvarez - 8.0: He didn't score, but he was at the heart of everything good for Atlético. He created an incredible six chances and was a constant thorn in Levante's side. His movement, passing, and vision were exceptional. He was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet himself. A fantastic performance that deserved a goal.

Substitutes

Antoine Griezmann - 9.0 (Man of the Match): What an impact. Came on and changed the game completely. He scored with his first touch to put his team ahead and then sealed the victory with a second goal. His intelligence and clinical finishing were the difference. A masterclass in impact substitutions. The highest-rated player on the pitch by a mile.
Thiago Almada - 7.0: Looked bright and tested the keeper with two shots from distance.
Nahuel Molina - 6.5: Got an assist but also picked up a needless yellow card.
Nico González - 6.5: Helped see out the game and keep control in midfield.
Conor Gallagher - 6.5: Added fresh legs and energy in the final stages.

Manager

D. Simeone - 8.0: His decision to bring on Antoine Griezmann was a stroke of genius. It was the move that won Atlético Madrid the game. His team was dominant throughout and created numerous chances. A perfectly managed game from the Argentine, who read the situation and made the decisive change at the perfect time.
