Summary

  • Harry Wilson was the man of the match, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
  • Quilindschy Hartman for Burnley had a difficult game, making a crucial error that led to a goal.

What a chaotic and brilliant game of football we just witnessed at Turf Moor. This Premier League encounter was a true rollercoaster, ending in a 3-2 victory for the visitors, Fulham. It was a match that had everything, from clinical finishing to defensive blunders.

Fulham were simply electric going forward. From our perspective, the star of the show was undoubtedly Harry Wilson, who was involved in all three of his team's goals. He looked like a man possessed, completely unplayable for large stretches of this match.

Burnley showed incredible heart to stay in the fight. They battled back to level the score and even made for a nail-biting finish with a late goal. Ultimately, though, their defensive frailties were exposed, and Fulham's quality in the final third proved to be the decisive factor in this five-goal thriller. Fulham Player Ratings vs Burnley

Check out the Fulham player ratings for the Burnley vs Fulham fixture.

Goalkeeper

Bernd Leno - 8.5: An outstanding performance from the German shot-stopper. He made six crucial saves, several of which were simply breathtaking. What stood out to us were his saves late in the game to deny Armando Broja and Zian Flemming. He couldn't do much about the two goals conceded. Without him, Fulham would not have left with three points. A match-winning display.

Defenders

Kenny Tete - 6.0: A challenging afternoon for the right-back. He was dribbled past on three occasions and picked up a deserved yellow card. He struggled to contain Burnley's attacks down his flank. He did make a couple of important tackles, but overall, it was a day he'll want to forget.

Calvin Bassey - 8.0: A monster at the back and a threat in the opposition box. He scored a fantastic header to put his team ahead. Defensively, he was a rock, winning an incredible 10 out of 13 duels. We noticed his aggression and timing in the tackle were spot on. A truly dominant performance.

Joachim Andersen - 6.5: The captain had a mixed game. He made a massive nine clearances, showing his aerial presence. However, he also received a yellow card and was part of a defence that looked vulnerable at times. His distribution was solid as usual, but he looked a little unsettled by Burnley's forwards.

Antonee Robinson - 6.5: Full of energy as always, bombing up and down the left wing. He was solid defensively, winning all four of his attempted tackles. His final product in attack was lacking, though, with only one of his five crosses finding a teammate. A tireless but ultimately frustrating performance from him.

Midfielders

Harry Wilson - 10: A perfect performance. There's no other way to describe it. Two assists and a beautifully taken goal capped a flawless display. He was the architect of everything good for Fulham. His delivery from set-pieces was a nightmare for the Burnley defence. The highest-rated player on the pitch by a country mile.

Sander Berge - 7.0: A quietly effective game from the Norwegian. He kept the play ticking over with 93% pass accuracy. He also created a big chance that Harry Wilson should have buried. He provided a calm and composed presence in the heart of midfield, breaking up play and starting attacks.

Alex Iwobi - 6.0: He worked hard but struggled to make a significant impact. He lost possession 14 times and seemed a bit off the pace. It wasn't a surprise to see him substituted in the second half. Not his best day.

Samuel Chukwueze - 7.5: Provided the crucial assist for Wilson's goal with a great run and pass. He was a constant handful for the opposition, winning seven of his nine duels. He brought pace and directness to the attack and his link-up play was excellent. A very positive contribution.

Emile Smith Rowe - 7.5: It was great to see him on the scoresheet with a poacher's finish for the opening goal. He was neat and tidy in possession, completing 90% of his passes. He looked sharp and hungry before being replaced late on. A very encouraging performance.

Forwards

Raúl Jiménez - 5.5: A really tough day for the striker. He was completely isolated and won just one of his eleven duels. From our perspective, he looked frustrated and offered very little threat. His hold-up play wasn't there, and he was easily dispossessed. He was rightly substituted.

Substitutes

Josh King - N/A: Came on for the final 10 minutes but had little time to influence the game.

Sasa Lukic - N/A: Brought on to shore up the midfield.

Adama Traoré - N/A: A late cameo.

Timothy Castagne - N/A: On for the final moments.

Manager

M. Saraiva Da Silva - 7.5: His tactical setup in attack was perfect, allowing Harry Wilson to wreak havoc. Scoring three goals away from home is a fantastic achievement. However, he will be concerned by how easily his defence was breached on a couple of occasions. A vital win secured.

Goalkeeper

Martin Dúbravka - 5.5: A difficult day for the keeper. He conceded three goals and only made one official save. He couldn't be blamed for all the goals, but he didn't command his area with any authority. Looked a bit shaky under pressure from Fulham's relentless attack.

Defenders

Quilindschy Hartman - 5.0: A performance to forget. His dreadful error led directly to a goal, a moment that completely changed the momentum of the match. He also lost possession a staggering 23 times. From our perspective, he was the clear weak link and Fulham exploited his side repeatedly.

Maxime Estève - 7.0: One of the few bright spots in the Burnley defence. He was immense in his individual battles, winning nine of his ten duels. He also came close to scoring with a header. A strong performance in a losing effort.

Axel Tuanzebe - 6.0: He looked off the pace and was responsible for an error leading to a shot. He struggled with the movement of Fulham's attackers. Substituted after 77 minutes, which felt like the right call.

Hjalmar Ekdal - 6.0: A quiet and largely ineffective game. He wasn't directly at fault for the goals but offered little in terms of defensive security. He was often bypassed too easily and his distribution was nothing special. An average performance at best.

Midfielders

Lesley Ugochukwu - 8.0: Burnley's best player on the day. He was a powerhouse in midfield, scoring a well-taken goal. He was a constant threat with four shots, three of which were on target. His energy and drive were impressive, and he carried the fight to Fulham almost single-handedly at times.

Florentino - 6.5: He was neat on the ball, with a high pass completion rate. However, he failed to impose himself on the game before being substituted after the hour mark. A decent but unremarkable outing.

Josh Cullen - 6.5: A real mixed bag from the captain. He provided a clever through ball for the first goal. But he also picked up a yellow card and was often careless in possession, losing the ball 15 times. His work rate was high, but the quality wasn't always there.

Forwards

Jacob Bruun Larsen - 7.5: He was the creative spark for Burnley. He created an impressive five chances for his teammates. What stood out to us was his vision and passing range. On another day, he could have walked away with a couple of assists. A frustrating but very creative performance.

Lyle Foster - 5.5: An anonymous performance from the forward. He was ineffective, losing eight of his ten duels. He failed to make any real impact on the game and was substituted after 62 minutes. A disappointing showing.

Armando Broja - 6.0: He fought a lonely battle up front. He won a few fouls but lost 11 of his 16 duels. He was starved of service for most of the game but did force a brilliant save from Bernd Leno with a late header. A thankless task for him today.

Substitutes

Oliver Sonne - 7.0: Made a fantastic impact, scoring a goal to give his team hope.

Zian Flemming - 6.5: Looked lively and forced a save from Leno.

Marcus Edwards - 6.0: Added some energy but couldn't change the result.

Jaidon Anthony - N/A: Not enough time to make an impact.

Mike Trésor - N/A: A late sub.

Manager

S. Parker - 6.0: His side showed plenty of fight and character to score two goals. However, the defensive organization was chaotic, and individual errors cost them dearly. He needs to find a way to make his team more solid at the back if they are to survive in the Premier League.
