8 min
Inter vs Parma Player Ratings

Summary

  • Inter Milan clinched their 21st Serie A title, thanks to Thuram and Mkhitaryan's goals.
  • Piotr Zielinski was the most outstanding player in the outfield today.

It was a tale of comfortable dominance at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Inter dispatched Parma with a professional 2-0 victory in this Serie A encounter. The result never really felt in doubt. Inter were simply a class above from the first whistle to the last.

The tone was set just before halftime. Marcus Thuram broke the deadlock, a moment that felt inevitable given Inter's control. They had already come agonizingly close, with Nicolò Barella seeing his effort cannon back off the woodwork earlier in the half.

The second half followed a similar script. Inter managed the game with an air of superiority. The substitutions from coach C. Chivu were spot-on, with Henrik Mkhitaryan coming off the bench to coolly slot home the second goal, effectively ending the contest. Parma fought but lacked the cutting edge to truly trouble a well-drilled Inter defense, making for a straightforward day at the office for the home side. Inter Milan clinched their 21st Serie A title and are the champions of Italy. Here are Sportsdunia's Inter vs Parma player ratings.

Inter Player Ratings vs Parma

Here are the Inter player ratings vs Parma.

Goalkeeper

Yann Sommer - 6.5: A very quiet day for the Inter keeper. He didn't have a single save to make, which tells you everything about his team's dominance. He was composed with the ball at his feet and did his sweeping duties without any fuss. A clean sheet earned with minimal effort.

Defenders

Manuel Akanji - 7.0: A typically solid and composed display from the defender. He was excellent in possession, with a 92% pass accuracy, helping build attacks from the back. Defensively, he was rarely troubled but made 3 clearances and won most of his duels when called upon.

Yann Bisseck - 7.0: Seamlessly slotted into the backline. What stood out to us was his incredible 97% pass accuracy, showing immense confidence. He made a key interception and a couple of clearances, contributing to the clean sheet with quiet efficiency.

Alessandro Bastoni - 7.5: Outstanding performance before he was substituted. He was a rock at the back, winning all his tackles, and a creative force going forward. He created two key chances and his forward passing was a constant threat. A complete defensive performance.

Midfielders

Denzel Dumfries - 6.5: An energetic but frustrating performance. He got into great positions but was incredibly wasteful, missing a big chance and firing three shots off target. We noticed he worked tirelessly up and down the right flank, but that final piece of quality was missing today.

Piotr Zieliński - 8.0: Our man of the match. He absolutely ran the show from midfield with an incredible 98% pass accuracy. He provided the assist for the opening goal and was the architect of Inter's best moves. A truly commanding display that dictated the tempo of the entire game.

Petar Sučić - 7.0: The unsung hero in midfield. He was neat and tidy, recycling possession effectively and allowing the more creative players to flourish. He kept it simple and did his job flawlessly, a mature performance from the midfielder.

Nicolò Barella - 7.5: A whirlwind of energy as always. He was desperately unlucky not to score when his shot hit the post. Created a game-high four chances and was a constant thorn in Parma's side with his driving runs. He was everywhere.

Federico Dimarco - 7.5: A huge attacking outlet on the left. He whipped in a massive 15 crosses, constantly asking questions of the Parma defence. While the final ball wasn't always perfect, his relentless delivery created chaos and pinned the opposition back.

Forwards

Marcus Thuram - 7.5: Led the line well and got his reward with the crucial opening goal. His movement was a nightmare for the Parma defenders all afternoon. He took his goal well and was a constant physical presence before being substituted.

Pio Esposito - 6.0: A difficult day for the young forward. He struggled to get into the game and was largely anonymous. He found it hard to link up with his teammates and lost his physical battles. A learning experience for him.

Substitutes

Henrik Mkhitaryan - 7.5: The perfect impact sub. He came on and immediately added another layer to the attack. Took his goal with the composure of a seasoned veteran to kill the game off.

Lautaro Martinez - 7.0: Made a difference as soon as he came on. His link-up play was sharp, and he provided the smart assist for Mkhitaryan's goal. Showed his class in a short cameo.

Manager

C. Chivu - 7.5: Got everything right. His team was set up perfectly to control the game from the start. His substitutions were timed well and directly led to the second goal that sealed the victory. A masterful tactical performance.

Goalkeeper

Zion Suzuki - 7.0: He can hold his head high despite the loss. Made three crucial saves inside the box and commanded his area well with three punches and two high claims. The scoreline could have been much worse without him. He was let down by his defence for the goals.

Defenders

Abdoulaye Ndiaye - 6.0: It was a tough battle against Thuram. He struggled in the air, losing three of his four aerial duels. To his credit, he was tidy in possession with 93% pass accuracy, but he was part of a defence that looked vulnerable.

Mariano Troilo - 5.5: A really difficult afternoon for the defender. He was pulled out of position on several occasions and looked overwhelmed by Inter's movement. He was dribbled past too easily and struggled to impose himself on the game.

Alessandro Circati - 6.5: Parma's best defender on the day. He put his body on the line with four clearances and won three tackles. He fought hard and showed good anticipation, but it was a lonely battle against a superior attacking force.

Midfielders

Emanuele Valeri - 6.0: Ran his socks off but with little reward. He was tasked with a lot of defensive work and found it hard to contribute going forward. He lost possession 11 times, which summed up his frustrating afternoon.

Enrico Delprato - 6.0: The captain tried to rally his troops. He was one of the few Parma players to create anything, providing two key passes. However, he was largely overrun in the midfield battle and couldn't stem the tide of Inter attacks.

Mandela Keita - 6.5: A solid and reliable performance before being taken off. He was very secure on the ball, misplacing very few passes. He provided a steady base but lacked the dynamism to trouble the Inter midfield.

Adrián Bernabé - 6.5: Much like Keita, he was tidy in possession without being particularly threatening. He kept the ball moving but rarely looked to break the lines. A decent, if safe, performance.

Hans Nicolussi Caviglia - 6.0: He worked hard but it just wasn't his day. He was dribbled past twice and struggled to win his duels. While his passing was accurate, he gave the ball away cheaply on a few occasions, relieving pressure on Inter.

Forwards

Gabriel Strefezza - 6.0: One of Parma's brighter sparks in attack. He looked to be positive and take players on, completing two dribbles. However, he was often isolated and couldn't produce a moment of magic.

Mateo Pellegrino - 5.5: From our perspective, he was the worst performer. He was completely anonymous, touching the ball only 17 times in 67 minutes. He failed to make any impact and was a passenger for most of the match.

Substitutes

Nesta Elphege - 6.0: Came on and had one wayward shot. Offered little more than the man he replaced.

Pontus Almqvist - 6.0: Brought on to provide some spark, but the game was already slipping away. Couldn't get involved.

Manager

C. Antón Cuesta - 5.5: His team was set up to contain, but they couldn't cope with Inter's quality. They offered very little going forward and looked second-best all over the pitch. His substitutions failed to change the flow of the game. A tough day at the office.

Piotr Zieliński was the man of the match.
