Juventus 2-5 Manchester City Player Ratings: Savinho Rated 9/10 As Man City Crush Italian Giants To Top Club World Cup Group

Manchester City picked up a huge 5-2 win over Juventus 5-2 to seal the top place in Group G of FIFA Club World Cup 2025. The Premier League giants took the lead in the 8th minute through a Jeremy Doku curler. Teun Koopmeiners equalized for Juventus by pouncing on a loose pass. However, Pierre Kalulu's bizarre own goal put the English side in the driver's seat. Erling Haaland and Phil Foden scored tap-ins after coming on as substitutes to put the result beyond doubt. The ever-threatening Savinho scored the final goal of the rout before Juventus grabbed a consolation through Dusan Vlahovic.
Manchester City took an early lead through Doku, who curled one into the bottom corner from the left side of the box. Juventus hit back immediately through Koopmeiners, who feasted on an error from Ederson. The Manchester City goalkeeper gave the ball away, and the Dutch midfielder powered a finish home to make it 1-1 before the 11th minute. Errors were the theme of the game as Juventus' Kalulu kicked the ball into his own net under no pressure whatsoever from a harmless cross as Man City retook the lead.
Pep Guardiola's side scored an insurance goal through Erling Haaland, who poked home from close range after Matheus Nunes created for him. Phil Foden was gifted a goal by Savinho just moments after coming on. Savinho put finishing touches with a fine finish from outside the box. Vlahovic scored to finish off a counter to grab a consolation for Juventus.

Here are the Juventus Player Ratings from Juventus vs Manchester City Player Ratings.
Goalkeeper
Michele di Gregorio-5/10
Produced a blockbuster save with his feet to deny Bernardo early on, but was well beaten by Doku's curler. He was rooted to the sport for other goals.
Defenders
Pierre Kalulu-3/10
He was beaten by Doku regularly, but nothing could explain his own goal. Under no pressure from anywhere, he miskicked the ball into his own net and covered his head in shame.
Nicolo Savona-5/10
The defender had a tough time keeping up with the mercurial Marmoush, who was making all sorts of runs. The second half was a tough watch as Man City decimated Juventus defense.
Lloyd Kelly-5/10
Defended the box, but there were runners creeping in behind him. He was very weak on the ball as well under Manchester City's press.

Midfielders
Alberto Costa-5.5/10
He was completely shut down by Rayan Ait-Nouri, who gave him all sorts of headaches. Could only hit blanks in the attack.
Manuel Locatelli-6/10
Dropped between the centre-backs and took the ball to dictate the play, but City's midfield cut his options well.
Weston McKennie-5.5/10
The American all-action midfielder joined the attack often as he tried to get his side an equalizer. McKennie had a tough time defensively.
Filip Kostic-6/10
Had to do a lot of defending as Savinho was running ragged on the wing. Had a couple of pops in attack, but it didn't threaten Ederson.
Forwards
Nicolas Gonzalez-6/10
Drifted wide as he tried to find spaces in the tight Man City defence. Gonzalez, however, couldn't succeed in finding angles.
Teun Koopmeiners-7/10
He reacted quickly to snatch the ball and fire it past Ederson. His usual creative flair was missing.
Dusan Vlahovic-6.5/10
He tried holding up the ball, but there was very little service for him to feed off. Waited patiently to put away the one chance he got in the second half.

Kenan Yildiz-7/10
Yildiz threaded a lovely through pass for Vlahovic to score.
Federico Gatti-6/10
Vasilije Adzic-6/10
Manager
Igor Tudor-4/10
He set up his team to weather the storm from Manchester City. But errors hurt his team as they were also blunt in attack, probably because of too many changes. The second half was a nightmare as City blew them away.

Goalkeeper
Ederson-5/10
Gave the ball away sloppily and paid the heavy price as Koopmeiners scored the equaliser. Made a good sweeping save in the second half.
Defenders
Matheus Nunes-7/10
Created chaos with his inverted and direct runs. Played the cross for his side's second goal. Set up a tap-in for Haaland.
Ruben Dias-6.5/10
Dias took turns to deal with Vlahovic's physicality and did well with the striker backing into him.
Manuel Akanji-6.5/10
Played out from the back and did his job well enough, but was unable to close Koopemeiners down for the first goal.
Rayan Ait-Nouri-8/10
Posed excellent danger with his runs and picked Doku out with an inch-perfect through pass for the opener.

Midfielders
Rodri-6.5/10
The Ballon d'Or winner, Rodri, still looked rusty and was unsure in his challenges, which was natural given his lengthy layoff.
Bernardo Silva-7/10
Had a fantastic chance with an early header but was denied well by the keeper. Failed to receive the ball quickly as he was the intended target of Ederson for the first goal.
Tijjani Reijnders-7.5/10
Played some lovely switches of play and joined the attack. Reijnders ran the midfield with some impressive passes.
Forwards
Savinho-9/10
Looked lively on the right wing as he constantly dribbled to create chances and had some shots away. Got his goal in the second half with a thunderbolt.
Omar Marmoush-7/10
The Egyptian showed lovely touches and his intelligence to make runs was highly impressive. He was replaced at halftime by Erling Haaland.
Jeremy Doku-8/10
Opened the scoring with a beautiful curler towards the far post. His link-up with Rayan Ait Nouri was delightful on the left wing.
Substitutes
Erling Haaland-7/10
Scored a tap-in after coming on at halftime after missing a first attempt.
Phil Foden-7/10
Foden was teed up well by Savinho for an easy goal moments after coming off the bench.
Ilkay Gundogan-6/10
Nico O'Reilly-6/10
Rayan Cherki-6/10
Manager
Pep Guardiola-8/10
His side were at their fluent best in attack. Defensively, there were some iffy moments as Juventus did cause the odd trouble. A second-half rout completed the formality.
