Noah Atubolu - 8.5/10

The keeper was kept busy by the opponents throughout the match. Noah Atubolu stood tall every time, emerging as the best in Germany U21 vs France U21 Player Ratings. Some of France's attempts lacked power and were ultimately fatal. Had a solid positioning and a good presence of mind. He was almost perfect the entire match. In a couple of instances, he made some point-blank saves to further deny the opponents.

Was seen in a struggle initially as Sildilla posed a big threat to him. However, when Bright came to support him, he found a rhythm and was seen as much more confident. Did well both offensively and defensively and had a great say in keeping Wilson Odobert quiet.

Midfielders

Paul Nebel - 6.5/10

Though the player was having a relatively lesser contribution in the match, his role in the game cannot be neglected. Made some clearances and tackles, won some duels and even though his name wasn't celebrated much, the impact remained pivotal.

Eric Martel - 6.5/10

Gave an excellent cover to the defense. Had a good role in dispossessing the French attackers in the midfield and preventing them from entering the German half. Was given a yellow card and was subbed off as a precautionary measure.

Rocco Reitz - 6.8/10

Was tenacious in the midfield. Recovered a ball beautifully in the attacking half and made his moves, which were key for his team scoring the opener. Was rather a playmaker in the match and created some key chances for his team.

Had good dedication as the player was seen making some good runs to defend the long balls and winning throw-ins. Was very active on the left and provided his contribution in every aspect of the game, be it in the attack or in the defence.

Woltemade was clever and cheeky in the match. Lurked in the attacking third and kept pressing the French backline. When they made a mistake, he quickly pounced upon it and chipped a ball over the keeper. The keeper had a pretty unlucky day. He did his best to prevent both goals. Either of the goals had a deflection from the keeper, which, however, found the back of the net as the defense was unable to clear the ball away.

Castello Lukeba - 6.5/10

Was decent in the match. Had a great passing accuracy, won a good amount of ground duels involved in and was the source of the long balls that came from the defence. Made some interceptions and clearances and was having a solid individual performance. Was poor in defending the second goal which backfired his team.

Ismael Doukoure - 5.8/10

Made some sliding tackles inside the box to prevent the opponents from attacking. However, the player was unable to do anything to prevent the two goals. He was later deployed in the midfield, where he did relatively better.

Soungoutou Magassa - 4.5/10

Was consistently inconsistent in the match. A terrible and weak pass from Magassa went straight to an opponent, which laid the foundation for the first goal. Minutes later, he made yet another blunder that gifted the ball to Woltemade, which paved the way for the second goal for Germany.

Midfielders

Quentin Merlin - 7/10

Merlin was seen making some forays in the match, which ultimately did not challenge the opponents, as there was no proper support from his teammates. When the three-man defense system of France failed, he took charge of the left-back position, alongside making some constant appearances at the attack. Prevented Weiper from capping some neat moves.

Johann Lepenant - 5.5/10

The midfielder was eager to initiate the attacks in the first half. But just as the opponents scored and got the grip of the game, his performance deteriorated. Lepenant was involved in around a dozen duels, and surprisingly, he was unable to win even one of them. Adding to his disappointment, he was cautioned by the referee, which further restricted his play.

Djaoui Cisse - 6.5/10

Cisse was probably one of the only positives for the Blues in the first half. Was so elegant and purposeful with the moves. However, the player lacked the flair that he has had for the previous matches and he would be disappointed for that.

Kiliann Sildillia - 7/10

Sildillia was a standout in the France U21 National Football Team player ratings, as he was seen everywhere on the right flank, and the player covered almost every blade in the wing. He was initially assigned the RM position, and later he adapted himself as a wingback. When France was trailing, he positioned a bit higher on the field, making some good moves and providing some crosses, adding to the work for Brown.

Mathys Tel was seen as a bit more positive in the match. The player regained the confidence that was lacking in the quarter-final. This time, though all his attempts were on target, the lack of proper power and the excellent positioning of the keeper kept him away from scoring.
