Goalkeeper
Gerónimo Rulli - 6.0: Conceded two goals where he had little chance. He made a crucial save from inside the box to deny Emersonn a second goal. From our perspective, his distribution was tidy, but he wasn't tested enough to be a hero. A standard performance between the sticks.
Defenders
Nayef Aguerd - 7.0: Looked incredibly composed before his substitution. His 99% pass accuracy was a sight to behold, keeping possession ticking over from the back. He won most of his aerial duels and made a few important clearances. We were a little surprised to see him taken off, as he was one of the more solid defenders.
Timothy Weah - 6.0: A difficult evening for the defender. He was caught out of position on occasion and his error led directly to a shot. While he worked hard, he seemed to lack the defensive security needed. He tried to contribute going forward but it often came at a cost.
Benjamin Pavard - 6.5: A quiet but efficient game from Pavard. He was very tidy in possession with 96% pass accuracy and made a couple of key interceptions. He didn't do anything spectacular, but he also didn't make any glaring mistakes. A steady, if unsung, performance in the backline.
Emerson - 7.0: A really busy performance down the flank. What stood out to us were his six interceptions, reading the game well to snuff out danger. He whipped in a staggering 12 crosses, constantly looking to create, although the quality was sometimes lacking. A solid defensive and offensive shift.

Midfielders
Angel Gomes - 5.5: A really tough first half for Gomes. He picked up a yellow card and was largely anonymous before being hooked at halftime. He struggled to impose himself on the game and lost the midfield battle. A performance he will want to forget quickly.
Mason Greenwood - 7.5: Marseille's most consistent creative spark throughout the match. He was always looking to make something happen, with 96 touches and a high volume of crosses. His successful dribbles caused problems for the Toulouse defence, even if his final shot was sometimes wayward. A lively and threatening display.
Igor Paixão - 7.5: Scored the vital equalising goal with a composed finish. That contribution alone earns him a high rating. Beyond the goal, he was a nuisance on the wing, though he did get caught offside once. He faded slightly but his crucial intervention changed the game's momentum.
Pierre-Emile Højbjerg - 8.5: A true captain's performance and our highest-rated Marseille player. He was everywhere, dictating play with 114 passes and an incredible work rate. He scored what should have been the winner with a powerful header and was unlucky to hit the woodwork earlier. A commanding, all-action display in the middle of the park.
Bilal Nadir - 7.0: Provided the clever through ball for Paixão's equaliser, a moment of real quality. He created three chances in total, showing his eye for a pass. However, he also lost the ball in dangerous areas a few times. A mixed bag, but his creative input was undeniable.
Forwards
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - 7.0: His delivery for Højbjerg's goal was absolutely perfect. That assist was world-class. However, his finishing was not up to its usual standard, as he squandered a couple of decent chances. A frustrating night for him personally, but his one moment of quality almost won the game.

Substitutes
Robinio Vaz - 6.5: Came on at halftime and added some energy. He was involved in the build-up play and helped Marseille gain more control.
Leonardo Balerdi - 6.0: Replaced Aguerd but couldn't help the team see out the win. Was part of the defence that conceded the late equaliser.
Geoffrey Kondogbia - 6.0: Brought on to add some steel to the midfield but the late goal came after his introduction.
Manager
R. De Zerbi - 6.5: His team showed great character to fight back from a goal down and take the lead. The halftime adjustments clearly worked. However, the inability to defend a lead in the dying moments is a major black mark against him and his team's game management.

Goalkeeper
Guillaume Restes - 6.0: Conceded two goals but couldn't do much about either. He made a fantastic save late in the game to deny Højbjerg, which kept his team in it. From our perspective, he commanded his area well from high balls. A decent outing.
Defenders
Rasmus Nicolaisen - 6.5: The captain led a defence that was under siege for large parts of the second half. He made seven clearances and stood firm against the wave of Marseille attacks. A solid, no-nonsense performance from the heart of the defence.
Mark McKenzie - 6.5: A strange game for McKenzie. He provided an assist which was a massive bonus for a defender. However, he also picked up a booking and committed a couple of fouls in dangerous areas. His attacking contribution bumps up a rating that would have been lower based on his defensive lapses.
Charlie Cresswell - 7.5: An absolute warrior at the back for Toulouse. What stood out to us were his 12 clearances, including one heroic block off the line. He threw his body in front of everything and was a major reason Marseille didn't score more. A fantastic defensive display.

Midfielders
Djibril Sidibé - 7.5: Provided the crucial assist for the opening goal after a swift counter. He was excellent in his time on the pitch, winning most of his tackles and contributing effectively at both ends. His substitution was a bit of a surprise given his impact.
Cristian Cásseres Jr. - 7.0: A tireless engine in the midfield. He recovered the ball nine times and won six of his ten duels. He was instrumental in breaking up Marseille's play, especially in the first half. An understated but very effective performance.
Dayann Methalie - 6.0: A hard-working but limited performance. He won a good number of his tackles but offered very little going forward. He was often bypassed as Marseille ramped up the pressure. An honest effort but lacked quality.
Alexis Vossah - 5.0: A really poor performance. He was dribbled past three times and was a ghost for much of the game, losing possession far too easily. It was no surprise to see him substituted. He was the weak link in the Toulouse side.
Forwards
Frank Magri - 6.5: He ran the channels and worked hard for the team, but lacked a cutting edge in the final third. He had one shot on target but never really looked like scoring. A selfless performance but not a threatening one.
Aron Dønnum - 7.0: So unlucky not to score when his long-range shot cannoned back off the crossbar. He was a livewire, always willing to take a shot or try a dribble. While sometimes wasteful, his positive intent was a constant outlet for his team.
Emersonn - 8.0: Our highest-rated player for Toulouse. He took his goal with the composure of a seasoned striker. He was a physical handful all night, winning a remarkable eight duels and occupying the Marseille centre-backs. He missed one big chance but his overall contribution and crucial goal were immense.
Substitutes
Santiago Hidalgo - 7.5: The hero of the hour. Came on late and scored the dramatic equaliser with a well-placed header. The ultimate impact substitute.
Rafik Messali - 6.0: Brought on to provide fresh legs but didn't have a huge impact on the game.
Warren Kamanzi - 6.0: Ran hard but the game was mostly played around him.
Manager
C. Martínez Novell - 7.5: His game plan worked to perfection. He set his team up to absorb pressure and hit on the counter, leading to the first goal. His late substitutions were a masterstroke, with Hidalgo grabbing the all-important point. A tactical victory for the Toulouse boss.
Sportsdunia’s Player of the Match goes to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
