Slavia Praha Vs Bodø / Glimt

What a truly wild encounter between Slavia Praha and Bodø / Glimt at the Fortuna Arena. This Champions League fixture was an absolute rollercoaster from start to finish. We saw Slavia Praha race into what seemed like a commanding 2-0 lead, looking completely in control of the match. It felt like the game was done and dusted.

Youssoupha Mbodji, of all people, was the unlikely hero with two goals. His performance was a story in itself. But football, as it so often does, had a twist in its tail. From our perspective, the turning point was the penalty save from Jindrich Stanek. It seemed to galvanize Bodø / Glimt, even though they missed the spot-kick.

The Norwegian side threw everything at it in the final stages. Their manager's substitutions were pure genius, with both Daniel Bassi and Sondre Fet coming on to score. The late equalizer in the 90th minute was a dagger to the heart for the home fans, but a moment of sheer ecstasy for the visitors. A 2-2 draw feels like a win for Bodø / Glimt and a bitter loss for Slavia Praha. Here are the Slavia Praha vs Bodø / Glimt ratings:

Slavia Praha Player Ratings vs Bodø / Glimt

Here are the Slavia Praha player ratings:

Goalkeeper

Jindrich Stanek - 8.5: A truly heroic display from the keeper. He made a staggering 8 saves throughout the game. The highlight was undoubtedly that phenomenal penalty save to deny Kasper Høgh. It was a moment of pure brilliance that kept his team's two-goal cushion intact at the time. He couldn't do much about the two goals he eventually conceded. A fantastic individual performance.

Defenders

Tomas Holes - 6.0: A short and unfortunate outing for the captain. He started the game wearing the armband but was forced off with an injury just 18 minutes in. There wasn't enough time for him to make any significant impact on the proceedings. His team certainly missed his leadership as the game wore on.

David Zima - 7.0: A commanding presence at the back for most of the game. He was a beast in the air, winning four aerial duels, and made a massive 11 clearances. What stood out to us was how he read the game, winning 8 of his 12 total duels. He was a rock until the late defensive collapse.

Youssoupha Mbodji - 7.0: What an absolutely bizarre night for the defender. He scored a brace, which is a dream for any player, let alone a center-back. His finishing was surprisingly clinical. However, he then undid some of his good work by conceding a penalty and picking up a yellow card. It was a true rollercoaster of a performance.

David Doudera - 7.0: A very busy and effective performance on the flank. He was a constant outlet for his team, creating three chances and getting a couple of shots on target. He also worked hard defensively, making crucial tackles and drawing fouls. We noticed his engine never stopped running, providing energy for the full 90 minutes.

Midfielders

Vasil Kusej - 5.5: A frustrating evening for the midfielder. He seemed to be everywhere but lacked the final product. Losing possession 21 times is just far too much at this level. He was also caught offside on three separate occasions, which killed promising attacks. He tried hard, but it just wasn't his night.

Christos Zafeiris - 6.5: A tidy, if unspectacular, performance in the middle. He kept the ball moving and created two chances for his teammates. He put in a shift defensively, but from our perspective, he never really took control of the midfield battle against a resilient Bodø / Glimt side. A decent outing.

Lukas Provod - 9.0: Simply sensational. Our man of the match without a doubt. He was the architect of everything good for Slavia Praha. Two brilliant assists, six key passes created, and he was desperately unlucky not to score himself, hitting the woodwork. He was the highest-rated player on the pitch for a reason.

Oscar - 7.5: The unsung hero in the midfield. His work rate was immense. He made a remarkable 5 tackles, breaking up play and protecting his backline effectively. He was efficient in possession too, with an 83% pass accuracy. A really strong, disciplined performance that might go unnoticed by some.

Michal Sadílek - 6.0: He struggled to really impose himself on the game. While he delivered a few decent crosses, he was also guilty of losing possession too easily. He looked a bit off the pace and was eventually substituted late in the game. Not his best performance.

Forwards

Tomas Chory - 6.0: A thankless task leading the line. He battled hard, winning his fair share of aerial duels. However, he missed a big chance and often looked isolated. He worked tirelessly for the team, but the cutting edge just wasn't there for him in this match.

Substitutes

Stepán Chaloupek - 6.5: Came on early for the injured Holes and slotted in seamlessly. He provided a steady presence at the back and didn't make any glaring errors. A solid job under difficult circumstances.

Daiki Hashioka - N/A: Introduced late in the game with not enough time to make a meaningful impact.

Mojmír Chytil - N/A: Brought on in the 77th minute but had little opportunity to influence the final result.

Manager

J. Trpišovský - 6.5: For 75 minutes, his game plan looked perfect. His team was 2-0 up and cruising towards a victory. However, the inability to manage the final 15 minutes and see out the game will be a massive concern. The late collapse reflects poorly, despite the strong start.

Bodø / Glimt Player Ratings vs Slavia Praha

Here are the Bodø / Glimt player ratings:

Goalkeeper

Nikita Haikin - 8.0: An outstanding performance that kept his team in the contest. He made 8 saves, some of which were absolutely top-drawer to deny Slavia Praha a third goal. He commanded his box well and was a calming influence even when his team was under pressure. A key figure in the comeback.

Defenders

Odin Luras Bjortuft - 5.5: A very tough night for the defender. He was caught out of position several times and struggled with the movement of the opposition forwards. Winning only 40% of his duels and picking up a yellow card capped a difficult evening for him.

Haitam Aleesami - 6.5: He was one of the better defenders for his team before being substituted. He was strong in the tackle, winning 7 out of his 10 duels. His use of the ball was also impressive. It was a little surprising to see him taken off, but he can be content with his contribution.

Jostein Gundersen - 7.0: He was having an excellent game before being forced off with an injury. His clearance off the line was a game-saving moment. With 8 clearances and a strong defensive presence, his departure was a significant blow for Bodø / Glimt.

Fredrik Sjøvold - 6.0: An average, understated performance. He was defensively sound for the most part but offered very little going forward to support the attack. He did his job without any fuss but didn't stand out in a frantic match.

Midfielders

Patrick Berg - 6.5: The captain worked tirelessly in the middle of the park. He made some important tackles and tried to drive his team forward. However, his passing was a bit wayward at times, and the yellow card showed his frustration as Slavia Praha dominated periods of the game.

Sondre Auklend - 5.5: A very quiet game from the midfielder. He was largely anonymous and struggled to get on the ball. With only 33 touches in 74 minutes, he couldn't influence the game and was rightly substituted.

Håkon Evjen - 6.5: Looked lively and was one of the few who tried to create something in the first hour. He registered two shots on target but will be disappointed to have missed a big chance. A decent performance but lacked that clinical edge.

Forwards

Kasper Høgh - 5.0: A night he will want to forget. The missed penalty was the defining moment of his game. It was a massive opportunity to get his team back into the match, and the failure to convert clearly affected him. He never really recovered from that miss.

Jens Petter Hauge - 7.0: Bodø / Glimt's most consistent threat. His dribbling and willingness to take players on caused problems for the Slavia Praha defence. He was a bright spark even when his team was struggling and played a key role in their attacking efforts.

Mathias Jørgensen - 5.5: Made virtually no impact on the game. He was completely anonymous in the first half and it was no surprise to see him substituted at half-time. A performance to forget.

Substitutes

Daniel Bassi - 8.0: A true game-changer. His introduction at halftime injected new life into his team. He won the penalty with his direct running and then showed great composure to score the goal that sparked the comeback. An incredible impact off the bench.

Magnus Riisnæs - 6.0: Came on for the injured Gundersen and filled in admirably. He was solid and did what was asked of him in a difficult period of the game.

Andreas Helmersen - 6.5: Provided more energy and presence than Høgh. He linked up play well and helped to put the Slavia Praha defence under more pressure in the final stages.

Sondre Fet - 8.0: The hero of the hour. To come on as a substitute and score a dramatic 90th-minute equalizer is the stuff of dreams. It was a well-taken goal and earned his team a valuable point. A perfect substitution.

Manager

K. Knutsen - 7.5: What a masterstroke from the manager. At 2-0 down, his team looked defeated. But his second-half substitutions were inspired. Bringing on Bassi and Fet completely changed the game and rescued a point from the jaws of defeat. A tactical triumph.

Sportsdunia's player of the match is Lukas Provod.
