He played as a right back mostly in the lower division clubs in Portugal before starting his managerial career. Born on 12th July 1977, the Portuguese, who has now established himself as a successful coach before becoming a famous Fulham football club manager, joined Estoril as a full-time mentor before becoming a full-time coach.
After earning back-to-back promotions for the club, he plied his trade at the helm of Sporting CP and Olympiacos before coming to the shores of England. He later enjoyed brief yet eventful spells at English Premier League clubs like Watford, Hull City, and Everton. Since joining as the manager of Fulham FC, he has been turning the dreams of the millions of Cottagers into reality. Under his stewardship, the Premier League action returned to Craven Cottage after a promotion in 2022. Marco Silva garnered widespread appraisal after he took Fulham to an 11th-place finish in the 2024-25 English top flight and a quarter-final exit in the FA Cup, a huge jump in terms of performance for a club that is normally tipped for relegation.
