BGMI 4.6 Update Features Bring Vampires, Hunters and Survival Tricks

KRAFTON India has announced the BGMI 4.6 update for September 16, 2026, bringing a supernatural theme to the maps with new enemies, items, gameplay features, and an underwater mode. The biggest highlight is “Midnight Hunters,” a themed mode which will transform several locations on maps into vampire-controlled areas. Not only vampires, but the mode is also set to bring hunters, new weapons, vehicles and gameplay mechanics.

BGMI 4.6 Update Release Date and Midnight Hunters Mode

The BGMI 4.6 “Midnight Hunters” update will roll out between September 15 and 16, 2026, beginning in the morning, around 6:30 AM IST, giving players around two months to enjoy new gameplay.

The BGMI 4.6 update mode keeps the main Erangel map layout the same, but several locations will get new environments, PvE creatures, and interactive features. A second themed mode also returns, called ‘Ocean Odyssey’.

Erangel Becomes a Hunting Ground for Vampires

These BGMI 4.6 update features will make Rozhok, Mylta, Quarry, and Gatka become Vampire Takeover POIs.

These areas have been redesigned around the supernatural theme and will also be linked to a new mission system. Players getting finished here will get automatic recall.

Stalber and Sosnovka Military Base will see a bigger change. Both locations will become the Nightkeeper’s Hunter Guild, an indoor combat area where players can explore lore, solve puzzles, and interact with different elements. A hunter training shooting range will also be added, along with clock towers in other parts of the map.

The Scream Crates will also appear across Erangel. Players will have to decode them to unlock the boxes. Players waiting for the lighter version of the game can also keep an eye on the BGMI Lite pre-registration date; its about to be launched soon.

Players Can Switch Sides and Change the Course of Battle

A unique aspect of this mode is the ability for players to change sides mid-game. In Midnight Hunters, survivors can turn sides and assume a new character altogether. This is one of the standout BGMI 4.6 update features, giving players more freedom to change their strategy during a match.

New Creatures Turn Erangel Into a Deadlier Battleground

Midnight Hunters will also introduce several supernatural enemies to the battlefield. Bloodwalkers are creatures that will chase players across the map. Nightbats are flying creatures that attack players with sonic waves. These enemies can make certain areas more dangerous for looting and moving around

The Vampire Elder will serve as an epic boss and one that can empower the minions. The greater the lifespan of the Vampire Elder, the more powerful it is going to be. Moreover, the Nightkeeper NPC is also going to be available at the Hunter Guild.

New Survival Gear Could Change How Players Approach Fights

This update will introduce new themed objects as well. The Hunter Bandage for quick healing in battles. Another important object is the Silvermoon Chain, which has several applications.

This object can be used as a weapon against monsters, as a means of transport around the map, and as a shield. Twilight Bat Wings is another item that will facilitate movement across the map.
