Top 5 Best Clash Royale Hero Balloon Decks: Meta Decks for Ladders and Challenges

Hero Balloon is the newest Hero introduced in Clash Royale during the new Balloon Festival season. Having the same stats as its original counterpart, the Hero Balloon has a new two-cost ability called “Coffin Cadets” that lets you spawn a Skeletrooper troop, which is a buffed-up version of the normal Skeleton unit.

After testing out this new hero in a variety of decks, let's have a look at some Clash Royale best Hero Balloon decks that are fun to use, along with being strong against other decks.

5 Best Meta Clash Royale Hero Balloon Decks

The use of the Hero Balloon remains mostly the same, acting as a powerful win condition that can decimate towers if not defended in time. However, its slow movement speed makes it harder to reach towers. Its Coffin Cadet ability becomes useful in taking out enemy buildings and troops that get in the Balloon's way.

The best way to use its ability while it's near enemy buildings and troops, the Skeletrooper will land on top of them, dealing damage upon landing. Prioritize using this ability when near defenders to get value out of its landing damage against the best Clash Royale meta decks. With that said, here are my picks for five Hero Balloon Clash Royale decks you should use this season.

1. EvoPekka iWiz EvoBaby Freeze

This is one of the best Clash Royale Hero Balloon decks when it comes to playing seven-elixir or triple-elixir battles during Clan Wars, since it has a high average elixir cost. The Baby Dragon Evolution's movement buff, along with Lumberjack's rage, works well with the Hero Balloon, allowing it to reach towers more quickly. When your opponent plays defenders, simply cast Freeze so that your Hero Balloon can blast towers peacefully.

P.E.K.K.A. is a troop that's best played on defense. She can tank most hits since its evolved variant also heals her, making her lead your attack push as well. Ice Wizard is a great defender, slowing down enemy pushes and fending off defenders from the Hero Balloon.

Tornado can be used both offensively to whisk away defenders from the Hero Balloon and defensively to lure away enemy troops. This makes this spell work well against the best Clash Royale Hog Rider decks.

2. LHound Miner HeroBalloon MinHordeEvo

This is one of the more expensive Clash Royale best Hero Balloon decks, as it relies on creating a heavy push using both the Lava Hound and the Hero Balloon, along with a well-placed Miner at the foot of enemy towers. Evolved Zap and Fireball will help clear away enemy defenders.

All other cards, like Barbarians, Minions, and the new Minion Horde Evolution, are primarily used for defense. If they survive, they can help support your attackers to push better. The Hero Balloon's ability becomes useful here to deal with enemy buildings.

3. DoubleDragon Bowler Freeze Nado

This deck is one of my favorite Clash Royale best Hero Balloon decks, as it balances offensive and defensive cards. Your main attackers are the Hero Balloon and the Inferno Dragon Evolution, paired with the Lumberjack and the Electro Dragon.

The latter can easily clear away squishy defenders like Minions and Bats from your main attackers, with Lumberjack's rage serving as a powerful buff to increase their DPS as they continue attacking the tower.

Freeze enemy defenders during attacks to ensure a quick tower takedown or to stop enemy attackers. This is good against some of the best Hero Goblin decks in Clash Royale. Tornado works well in the same way as you expect. For defense, the Bowler is great at keeping enemy attackers at bay, while the Barbarian Barrel works great against Princesses and Firecrackers.

4. EvoExecValk Miner HeroBalloon

Out of all these Clash Royale best Hero Balloon decks, I used this deck the most in 1v1 Trophy Road matches since it has a reasonable average elixir cost. The main objective here is to attack using the Hero Balloon and the Miner, with an evolved Executioner or Valkyrie as their main supporters. The latter two are exceptionally effective at keeping enemies at bay, along with the Tornado.

While the Cannon and the Royal Guards are good for defense, Vines can be used both defensively and offensively to root enemies in place and stop them from attacking for two seconds. These defenses make it work great against the Clash Royale best Mega Knight decks.

5. EvoMusk Miner HeroBalloon Cycle

Finally, we have one of the cheapest but best Hero Balloon decks in Clash Royale, which relies heavily on cycling through cards quickly. Your main attack consists of first placing an Ice Golem to lure enemy defenders, followed by a combo of Hero Balloon, Miner, and an Evolved Musketeer. If defenders or attackers get too close, a Snowball can knock them back.

For defense, the Bomb Tower and the Barbarian Barrel work well, along with the Ice Golem and the Musketeer. Additionally, Evolved Skeletons are helpful to lure away enemy win conditions, making it work well against the best Miner decks in Clash Royale.
