Marvel Rivals is resurrecting its limited-time mode (LTM) Jeff’s Winter Splash, a seasonal mode that focuses on map control instead of standard objectives. The gameplay of this mode is all about painting the map rather than killing the opponents, which is close to the arcade territory-based shooters tropes.
The mode was first introduced in winter 2024 and is now back with a new map, an updated team structure, and more event rewards for 2025.

Marvel Rivals Jeff’s Winter Splash is a new game mode designed around territory control, wherein the team that has more area covered on the map wins. Even though players can still kill each other, still combat is not the main goal, and dedicating too much to fights can cost a team map control.

Everyone plays Jeff the Land Shark, and using paint-like powers, they will cover the arena in their team’s color. The matches are very quick, and players will rely more on movement and positioning rather than traditional hero roles.

How to Play Jeff’s Winter Splash

To participate in the event, the game mode can be accessed via the Play tab. There will be 4v4v4 matches where three teams will play at the same time.

Core Objectives

• Paint the largest part of the map possible until the timer runs out.
• Jeff's powers should be used to cover the entire area consisting of floors, walls, and grounds.
• Getting rid of enemies will help to slow down the opposing teams, but the painting will ultimately decide who the winner is.
• The areas covered by the players' team will serve as a place for the players to regain health.

Marvel Rivals Jeffland is a frozen battleground specially made for this mode. It has:

• Winter-themed decor and ice sculptures
• Interaction with the characters through the merry-go-round and Ferris wheel
• Wide areas and vertical routes that facilitate movement and map ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌control

The layout rewards teams that spread out early and maintain pressure across multiple zones.

By playing Marvel Rivals Jeff’s Winter Splash, players can obtain seasonal rewards by the completion of matches and challenges. The progress is connected with event-only currencies called Silver Frost and Gold Frost.

How Rewards Work:

• Finish a variety of challenges, e.g., winning matches or painting a certain percentage of the map
• Get Frost currency to move the event reward track
• Open cosmetic items like: Sprays, Emotes, Nameplates, MVP animations, & The Cuddly Fuzzlefin costume for Jeff.
