VALORANT Replay System

Summary

  • Valorant Patch 11.06 finally introduces the Replay System on PC, letting players fully rewatch matches from any player’s perspective or free camera view.
  • Console players will receive the Replay System later with Patch 11.10, while China rolled it out separately with Patch 11.07b on October 9.
  • The system helps players and coaches analyze mistakes, strategies, and decision-making, replacing third-party tools with an in-game learning feature.

Players have wanted a way to rewatch matches in Valorant since the very beginning. They needed something that helps them spot mistakes, understand what went right, and even steal a few tricks from teammates or rivals. With Patch 11.06, Riot finally added the Replay System for PC, while console players will have to wait a bit longer. This is not just about reliving your flashy highlights. It is about learning, improving, and even helping coaches guide their teams better.

The big question now is how they can use it. The good news is that the system is easy to access once you know where to look. In the next sections, we will walk through what it is, when it dropped, and, most importantly, how you can use it step-by-step to sharpen your skills in Valorant.

What is the Replay System

The Valorant Replay System was introduced with Patch 11.06 and started rolling out on September 16 and 17, 2025, for PC players in most regions. China received it a little later with Patch 11.07b on October 9. Console players are expected to get the feature in Patch 11.10 around mid-November, though the exact timing may vary by region.

This new system gives players the ability to go back and fully rewatch their recent matches. You can view the game from any player’s perspective, not just your own. It lets you jump into the viewpoint of all ten players, use a free camera to move around the map, adjust playback speed, skip between rounds or important moments, and open combat reports to check damage and ability details.

Riot created this feature to help players understand their decision-making better. It makes it easier to see where rotations failed, where utility could have been used more effectively, or how positioning can be improved. Right now, it is only available in standard game modes like Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay, and Premier, and does not work in custom games or esports tournament matches.

Before this, players had to rely on third-party recording tools or their own memory to review matches. Having replays built directly into the game removes all that extra effort and gives players a simple way to learn from their games, which is why the community has been so excited about it.

How to Use the Replay System?

VALORANT Replay System

  • Start by playing a match in any of the supported modes: Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay, or Premier. The replay system only works for matches played after Patch 11.06, so older games or modes like Custom and esports tournament matches will not have replay files available.
  • Once your match ends, open the VALORANT client and head to your Match Details screen or the Career History tab. Here, you will notice a new replay icon next to your recent matches, which shows that a replay is available for download.
  • Click on the replay icon to begin downloading the file. Depending on your internet speed and how long the match lasted, this might take a short while. The file gets saved locally on your device so you can watch it later without needing to download it again.
  • After the download finishes, open the replay. You can choose to view the match from any player’s first-person perspective, whether it’s yours, a teammate’s, or even an opponent’s. There is also a free camera mode that lets you fly around the map for a full overview of what is happening.
  • While watching, you can control playback speed and navigation. Slow down intense clutch moments, pause to analyze decisions, fast forward through slower rounds, or jump back to earlier moments. The speed ranges from 0.1x to 8x, and you can skip directly to specific rounds or important events like kills, deaths, and ultimate usage.
  • For a deeper breakdown, open the combat report while the replay is playing. This shows you stats like total damage dealt, ability usage, and how each fight played out. You will also see timeline markers for major plays so you can instantly jump to those key highlights without scrubbing through the entire match.

Combining the replay system with the Best Valorant Settings helps you identify exactly where sensitivity, crosshair placement, and graphic settings impact your fights. By watching your own gameplay back, you can adjust settings scientifically instead of guessing, making it easier to reach consistent performance.
