Mumbai Indians Follows RCB in Hospitality Path; Opens New Cafe

MI have invited the applications, which will be open until January 31, 2026. One which wins the bid, will have to create a unique sports-themed café featuring local snacks, beer, merchandise, and entertainment.

Mumbai Indians are the most valuable IPL team right now. They are targeting to open cafe in March 2027. The cafe will be located at Marine Drive and the management are aiming to give the fans experience of more then just a cafe and will offer Mumbai's favourites snacks, draft beer, and team merchandise.

The MI Cafe will also give fans loyalty points and enjoy local entertainment like standup comedy shows. It will be a great opportunity for fans to take part in Mumbai's emerging talent, combining sports culture with local entertainment.

How Can You apply for Operator of MI cafe

The Mumbai Indians released an official statement, saying that those who are interested will have to email their details to [email protected] along with a non-refundable fee of Rs. 50,000. Along with that, they will have to include basic company information like name, profile, contact person, and payment details.

Entire buying process of MI Cafe will run from December 2025 to March 2027. The RFP will be released on December 8, 2025, while query deadline will be on January 8, 2026, and final proposal submissions is to be submitted by January 31, 2026.

The franchise also stated that “late submissions won't be considered, and proposals must follow the exact guidelines outlined in the RFP document.”

Much like their success in the Indian Premier League, and other leagues, MI would be hoping that their cafe will be a big success as well. They have won five titles in the IPL and have also have been among the titles in ILT20, SA20 and MLC.
