Will Dusan Vlahovic Play His Next Game for Juventus After Receiving a Red Card?

Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic will receive a heavy fine after he was shown his marching orders in a tough draw against Genoa over the weekend.

The Bianconeri have been in appalling form over the past few weeks, managing just one win in their last seven games and have dropped to third in the Serie A table.

Dusan Vlahovic who was expected to make a move in January, has scored 10 goals in his last 10 league outings prior to the clash against Genoa. The $87 million forward has failed to live up to expectations since making his record-breaking move in 2022 from Fiorentina.

The 24-year-old striker was shown a yellow card when he was penalised for a foul on Genoa’s Josep Martinez. But the hot-headed Serbian reacted furiously and was sent off for dissent after receiving two yellow cards.

Vlahovic had just made his return from a yellow card suspension against Atalanta and will now be unavailable for Juventus’ next game against Lazio on March 30th after the international break.

But the Juventus forward won’t be available for Serbia’s upcoming international friendlies due to a back injury and will remain in Turin to undergo further treatment.

How much will Juventus fine Dusan Vlahovic for red card?

According to reports, the Serbian striker will have to pay €70,000 for the red card he received against Genoa. He was shown two yellow cards for dissent and will receive a one-match ban.

The Serbian has also pulled out of his nation’s upcoming friendlies due to a back injury and will remain at Turin for regular monitoring by the Juventus medical staff.

The 24-year-old is experiencing one of the best seasons of his career with 15 goals in 27 appearances across all competitions despite Juventus’ dreadful form this season and the fans will be hoping that the striker returns after the international break.

Dusan Vlahovic is doubtful for the upcoming game against Lazio on 3rd April 2024 in Coppa Italia.
