Harry Kane

Harry Kane Stats: Every record the England international has broken at Bayern Munich

Amid the threat of ending the season without a trophy with Bayern Munich, Harry Kane carries on with his goal scoring routine. The Englishman has been an exception for Die Rotten this season with multiple records broken in his first Bundesliga season.

With two games to go, Kane has already collected 36 league goals. Kane had an electric start to life at Bundesliga as he had bagged 15 goals in 10 league appearances. The amount that surpassed Schalke’s Klaus Matischak who scored 15 in 13 games in the 1963/64 season.

Harry Kane Stats: The hungriest British player in Bundesliga

Kane scored a brace in his 11th Bundesliga appearance this season, adding up his tally to 17 goals. This beat the top scoring record in the previous season when Christopher Nkunku and Niclas Fullkrug scored 16 goals in a whole season.

The former Arsenal academy player did not stop there. Kane became the fastest player in Bundesliga to score 20 goals in one single campaign. After two consecutive hat-tricks against Darmstadt and Borussia Dortmund, he beat Hamburg legend Uwe Seeler who did it in 21 games.

Another record that Kane is on his way to break is Jadon Sancho being the most prolific Englishman in the Bundesliga with 40 goals. However, Kane has surpassed Sancho’s 17 goals record in a season. The on-loan Manchester United winger is not the only British player whose record was broken by Kane. Back in the 70s, Kevin Keegan took the country by storm by scoring 17 goals in one single league campaign.

There have been eight games where Kane scored two or more goals, which also broke a record held by legends in the past. Friedhelm Konietzka had seven games in the 1963/64 season where he scored two or more goals, as well as Toni Polster in 1993/94 season.

Kane also reached 30 Bundesliga goals faster (25 games) than Erling Haaland who did it with Borussia Dortmund in 32 games. Another record by Seeler which Kane broke was the most goals in a debut Bundesliga season where the German scored 30 in 1964.

Personally for Kane, this has been his best ever season in terms of goal scoring rate. During his time with Tottenham, the most he could reach was 41 goals in the 2017/18 season. This season, Kane has scored 44 across all competitions so far.

There is one record left waiting to be broken by Kane, Robert Lewandowski’s 41 league goals in one season. The Polish striker did it in the 2020/21 season, breaking a nearly 50-year standing record of Gerd Muller when he scored 40 goals in the 1971/72 season.
