The Portuguese manager Ruben Amorim has been attracting interest from various Premier League clubs. However, recent reports term that the English giants Liverpool also holds the manager high on their list in terms of replacing Jurgen Klopp at the end of the 2023-2024 season when he leaves the club.

Liverpool FC are currently tipped to be out of the race for appointing Bayer Leverkusen’s manager Xabi Alonso as their next managerial appointment. Reports inflict he has chosen to stay at Leverkusen for at least one more season. Amidst this Ruben Amorim could turn out to be the favourite man to take over at Anfield after Klopp departs. Amorim’s preferred formation is 3-4-3 and under him, Liverpool’s lineup might be formed following the same pattern.

In his first 25 matches at Liga Portugal for Sporting CP, the Portuguese manager has managed to make a name for himself in the football world. He has managed to take his side to 21 wins in these matches played under him. While there have been only two losses for Sporting, the remaining couple of games have been drawn.

What’s been more impressive is that, in 25 games, Sporting CP has managed to score a magnificent tally of 75 goals, averaging around three goals per game. On the other hand, they have conceded only 25 goals in this tenure. Amorim averages close to 2.6 points per match at the Portugal-based club. All in all his numbers at Sporting do make him a manager to watch out for in the future.
