The 6th match of the Asia Cup 2025 between India and Pakistan was the most controversial game in the tournament. However, Suryakumar and Tilak Varma formed a solid partnership and helped India win the match. Varma was dismissed on 31 off 31 balls by Ayub. Shivam Dube remained unbeaten on 10 runs along with Suryakumar Yadav, who showed why he is the most dangerous batsman in the world.

When captain Suryakumar came for the post-match presentation, the crowd chanted ‘Happy Birthday’ as it was his birthday today. Even presenter Sanjay Manjrekar sang a song for the India captain. After speaking about the match, Suryakumar had a few special words to say about the people of India.

“Just wanted to say something. Perfect occasion, taking the time out, we stand by the victims of the families of Pahalgam terror attack. We express our solidarity. Want to dedicate the win to all our armed forces who showed a lot of bravery. Hope they continue to inspire us all and we give them more reasons on the ground whenever we get an opportunity to make them smile,” said Suryakumar Yadav at the post-match presentation.

Suryakumar's words were greeted with a huge cheer from the Indian crowd present inside the stadium. Meanwhile, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha could not be found during the post-match presentation in another curious case.
