IND vs PAK Asia Cup No Handshakes

The 6th match of the Asia Cup 2025 between India and Pakistan was the most controversial game in the tournament. After multiple boycott protests on social media, the match went on to happen at the Dubai International Stadium. It was Team India which finished on top in the greatest rivalry in cricket.

The Men in Blue won the IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2025 match by seven wickets, thanks to captain Suryakumar Yadav's unbeaten 47 off 37 balls, including five boundaries and one six. However, something interesting happened at the end of the match that caught the attention of the fans and the viewers. It is something that has hardly happened in this gentlemen's game before.

IND vs PAK Asia Cup No Handshakes Moment

As the tension between the two teams prevailed throughout the entire match, the Indian players chose to maintain a certain distance from their opponents after the end of the match. This resulted in a no-handshake moment between the two teams after the game. After finishing the game with a six, Suryakumar quickly went off the field along with his batting partner, Shivam Dube.

He didn't shake hands with any of the Pakistani players after the match, which is a rare thing in a cricket field. The Indian batters quickly went off to the dressing room after finishing the game. Even after the toss, neither of the captains shook hands formally. Due to the political tensions between the two nations, the Indian players have made their stand quite clear after the match.

India on Top of the Group

India's collective performance with the bat and the ball was commendable. After winning two back-to-back matches, they are now in a safe zone to qualify for the Super 4. Kuldeep Yadav's 3-wicket haul helped the Men in Blue restrict Pakistan to a low total of 127 runs. When India came to bat, Pakistan's Saim Ayub was brilliant with the ball and was successful in taking three wickets.

For India, Abhishek Sharma scored 31 off 13 balls, including four boundaries and two sixes, while Shubman Gill scored 10 runs off 7 balls. However, Suryakumar and Tilak Varma formed a solid partnership and helped India win the match. Varma was dismissed on 31 off 31 balls by Ayub. Shivam Dube remained unbeaten on 10 runs along with Suryakumar Yadav, who showed why he is the most dangerous batsman in the world.
