A three-match Twenty20 International series Nepal has been scheduled by the Cricket West Indies (CWI) during the last week of September. This series, hosted by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) in Sharjah, will help the Asian team prepare for the T20 World Cup 2026 qualifiers later this year. The two sides will be playing their first bilateral series against each other.
The Nepal-West Indies T20 series dates have been changed to avoid a clash with the Asia Cup final. Chhumbi Lama, the spokesman for the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), stated that the games had to be postponed since Nepal's original schedule conflicts with the Asia Cup final, which is planned for September 28 in the United Arab Emirates.

Why Nepal Missed Out From Asia Cup 2025?

The eight-team roster for the event was confirmed by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) earlier this week, but Nepal's absence has caused unhappiness and debate among its expanding fan base.
