No Handshake Controversy Continues in IND vs PAK Asia Cup

Keeping their stand clear, the Indian players and the management didn't shake hands with the Pakistan team for the second time in the competition. After Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma finished the game, the players walked back to the pavilion with a huge smile on their faces. However, no one went to shake hands with the Pakistani players. Even during the toss, the captains didn't shake hands with each other. The controversy has taken the greatest rivalry in cricket to a next level.

India played extremely well in the match, winning by six wickets. Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill batted well, scoring 105-run partnership against Pakistan. The partnership helped the rest of the batters play at their own pace and win the match. However, captain Suryakumar Yadav didn't have a memorable time in the match as he was dismissed on a duck.

After his dismissal, the game looked like it might tilt towards Pakistan but the rest of the batters handled the situation really well. Abhishek Sharma scored 74 off 39 balls, including six boundaries and five sixes while Shubman Gill scored 47 off 28 balls. He also hit eight boundaries but was dismissed before completing his half century.

Overall, it was a brilliant performance by the Indian batters as well as the bowlers. While Shivam Dube claimed two crucial wickets today, Jasprit Bumrah's performance remained a concern for the Indian team considering he is the best bowler in the world across formats.

Suryakumar Yadav on Jasprit Bumrah's Off Day

Bumrah is known for taking wickets and giving breakthroughs to the team in crucial situations. However, during the IND vs PAK Asia Cup match in the Super 4 stage, he couldn't take wickets and was hit for 45 runs in four overs. When captain Suryakumar Yadav was asked about the player and reason behind this, he defended his bowler.

“The way the boys are stepping up in every game, it's making my job very easy. The boys showed a lot of character. They were calm after the first 10 overs (of India's bowling innings). After drinks, I told them the game starts now. That's fine, he's not a robot, he will have a bad day someday (talking about Bumrah)," said Suryakumar Yadav at the post match presentation.

India will next play Bangladesh on September 24 on the same ground while Pakistan will travel to Abu Dhabi to play Sri Lanka on September 23. The Men in Green will need to win that game at any cost to keep themselves alive in the competition.
