The India vs England 2nd Test match at Edgbaston, Birmingham, has reached a position where the fans will have to wait until the fifth day to get the results. Despite having flat batting tracks, the match is continuing till the last day, which is incredibly good news for the cricket fans. A few months ago, Test cricket was going through a patch where the matches were ending in just 2-3 days. The fans missed the charm and enjoyment of watching a complete Test match for months. Now, the wait has ended.

Meanwhile, in the ongoing Test match, Jasprit Bumrah has been rested and Akash Deep has been brought in place of him in the playing XI. While it might not look on paper, Akash Deep did a fantastic job in the first innings, claiming four wickets. He gave the perfect start to the team, which was extremely necessary. The pacer didn't allow the English batters to settle down, helping India get the much-needed lead.

Who is the Jasprit Bumrah Mystery Woman?

In the same match, India's best bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, was accompanied by a mystery woman in the dugout, where they were spotted having some conversations with each other. The woman was seen to be looking at Bumrah while the fast bowler had his eyes firmly on the game. The images of her watching Bumrah went viral on social media as she had donned the Indian jersey. As per sources, this Jasprit Bumrah mystery woman is Yasmin Badiani, who works with the Operations team of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

While there was confusion related to her donning the Indian jersey, it was cleared later. Sources revealed that ECB hired Yasmin to assist the Shubman Gill-led Test team during the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. Her primary focus is on coordinating schedules, guiding logistics, and ensuring smooth communication between the hosts and the ICT on the ongoing tour.

If we look at Yasmin's career, she is a physiotherapist and has worked with many companies before. In 2010, she entered sports and worked with Leicester City Football Club from 2010 to 2013. Later, she switched roles to Head of Sport Phizz Ltd and ORS Sport, focusing on athlete performance and recovery. Now, after years of experience, she works with ECB in logistics and operations.

India Continues Its Dominance

It seems like captain Shubman Gill has taken an oath to slam all his critics in this IND vs ENG Test series. After scoring a century in the first match, he went on to slam 269 in the first innings of the second match. Now, in the second innings, he smashed another century, with India standing on a lead of 450+ runs as we write. The game has reached an intriguing position where India need to give a solid target to defend against England.

Since it's their home ground, England will fancy themselves to chase anything around 450. Their batters have a strong game knowledge, which has helped them win several matches. Even in the first game, it was England's batters who played an attacking game and ended up chasing the target of 373 runs at the loss of five wickets.

Meanwhile, India are in a commanding position, with six wickets remaining in their hands. Vice-captain Rishabh Pant played his natural game, scoring 65 runs off 58 balls, including eight boundaries and three sixes. Now, Jadeja and Gill are looking to form a partnership and take India past a mammoth total on the board. It will be interesting to see the results of the game tomorrow. There's still no clarity on the winner, but the match is moving towards an interesting position.
