As Brook mentioned, the Three Lions have decided to go with an extra batter, which is why they have included the all-rounder Jamie Overton in the playing XI as Luke Wood replacement. Overton is a proven bowling all-rounder who has shown that he has the ability to break crucial partnership while also hitting huge sixes lower down the order.

Luke Wood's Miserable Performance against Nepal

The left-arm pacer Luke Wood bowled three overs in the match and conceded 31 runs while picking up only one wicket. The Three Lions were on the verge of losing the match; however, Sam Curran produced a stunning bowling performance, defending 10 runs in the final over and getting his team past the winning line.

Bringing in Overton as his replacement could be a masterstroke for England, as we've seen him come down the batting order and show some massive hitting. He can bowl hard lengths in the middle overs, which can play a key part in this game.
