Meanwhile, even Axar Patel has been ruled out of the squad due to a viral infection, and his participation in the upcoming domestic tournament will completely depend on the medical clearance that he gets. Both Shubman and Axar will have to go through the recovery process and get a green signal from the medical team to make their way back into the team for the white ball series against New Zealand.

They have informed their respective state associations regarding the dates and will be joining the teams soon. Kohli is currently in India and has been practicing before the start of the tournament.

He will be playing for Delhi, and the starting matches will be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. The stadium got the clearance to host the matches, and hence, they will start with the domestic games.
