Supercell’s Upcoming Clash of Clans Home Village UI Changes Leave Players Divided

Summary
A Clash of Clans Home Village UI update is rumored to go live this month, and the CoC community is certainly not pleased with the upcoming changes. Back in the August 2026 update, we had a major UI change.
The rebuilt end-of-battle screen received a lot of praise from the community due to its clearer loot breakdown. Just two months later, Supercell is planning another set of Clash of Clans UI changes. From profile UI changes to the repositioning of multiple elements on the home screen, there's certainly a lot to cover. So, let's jump in.
List of All Changes Coming With Clash of Clans Home Village UI Update
The CoC community was only just accustomed to the Clash of Clans Ore Cost Reduction. Now they have to go through another series of in-game changes and understand how it affects their day-to-day life in the game.
Supercell themselves took to their official X to share the upcoming changes in the next Clash of Clans October 2026 update going live on 13th October. The community managers invited the game designer, Seth, to explain why the changes are coming and what they are. The players will now be able to see more of their home village due to this upcoming change.
None of the buttons in the home village were removed; they were just relocated to somewhere more appropriate. Let's take a look at all the Clash of Clans UI changes coming soon. And if you are yet to finish the new Challenge introduced this week, go through our guide on the Clash of Clans Portal Challenge for all the tips and tricks!

Clash of Clans New Battle Section
Battle is one of the tabs that stays in the same position after the CoC home village ui update goes live. However, the elements inside it are revamped. Once you click on the tab, you will be able to see the normal and ranked battle sections as usual.

But if you look closely, you will notice that both the ‘battle logs’ and ‘edit army’ buttons are there as well. So everything regarding battle is there in the Clash of Clans new battle section. The number of stars regarding the bonus is also showcased at the top of the new battle button. The icon of the battle button changes during and after enemy attacks.
Clash of Clans Events Tray and Clan War Button
Right beside the new battle icon, you will notice a new event button, which works like a tray. If you simply click on the icon, it will open up the events for you. However, if you open the tray, you will see other items such as news. If there's anything new to the game, such as a temporary event, it will be pinned at the top of it till you see it.
Once the Clash of Clans October 2026 update goes live, the War icon will be removed from the home village. In reality, it has just been relocated. Simply click on the clan chat icon. Once it opens, you will see a short window on the right that says ‘Clan War.’ If you are participating in a war, you will see the icon come back into the village when that war is live. However, if you have opted out of war, it will stay within the clan chat window.

Clash of Clans New Profile Interface
The Clash of Clans new Profile interface will have two new tabs from now on. Previously, we had four tabs in the profile: my profile, my clan, clans, and social. After the update, we will have the following tabs in the profile:

- My Profile
- My Clan
- Clans
- Social
- Inbox
- Settings
While the inclusion of ‘Inbox’ is understandable, it is certainly odd to see ‘Settings’ in the profile section. And the community seems to agree with this. Many players have pointed out that the inclusion of ‘Settings’ in the profile section doesn't make sense.
Clash of Clans New Shop Button
The shop button in Clash of Clans has gotten a new look in the Clash of Clans Home Village UI update. Additionally, it now sits on the middle-right side of the home village instead of the bottom right. However, the elements in the Shop stay the same.
The shield tab is also moved to the top-right side of your screen. It will now be placed under your Gems tab. Right underneath it. These changes might make the game look better on PC, and if you want to try, check out our guide on how to play Clash of Clans on PC.
Clash of Clans Builder Menu 2.0 Update: List of Changes
Now that you are aware of all the CoC Profile menu changes, let's take a look at the new Clash of Clans Builder Menu 2.0 Update. Firstly, the Building and Hero upgrade suggestions from builders will now appear in a different tab. Players will no longer be able to tap on the builder's face at the top of the home village to open up the list of suggested and other upgrades.
The designated tab sits at the bottom right of the home village where we used to have the shop. Right beside it, we now have an independent magic items button. Players no longer have to click on the town hall to access the items anymore.

The Layout editor is now in this new Builder menu after the update. At the top of the Builder menu, you have suggested updates from the builder. Right after that, you have other updates. Clicking on any upgrade will lead you straight to the building or hero, where you are just one tap away from beginning your upgrade.
Other than building and hero upgrades, you can also upgrade your troops in the Laboratory from this new builder menu. Once you click on the Research icon at the bottom of the menu, it will give you a list of troops, spells, and machines that you can upgrade (similar to the building and hero upgrade style).
Additionally, you can also click on the Blacksmith tab at the bottom. Once clicked, you will see the status of your ores pop up right beside the builder menu, and you will be redirected to the building. The pet house also works exactly in the same way. Similar to the home village, the builder base will also receive the UI update with fewer features in each section compared to the home village.
These are some of the biggest Clash of Clans UI changes coming into the game with the Clash of Clans Builder Menu 2.0 Update on October 13. At first look at it, this is something that will take players some time to adapt and get used to. Supercell mentioned that they intend to fine-tune things to make the experience even better for the players.
