Highguard on launch has a total of 10 weapons, three raid tools, and a melee axe for players to use to mow down enemies. Each of these weapons is different from the others, having different recoil patterns, fire rates, damage, and more.

Highguard Guns Tier List: Best Guns to Add to Your Loadout

Since you can only carry two guns at a time, knowing which weapons are best in Highguard will help you plan your loadout without stressing too much. Let's find out which highguard best guns cement themselves high in this Highguard guns tier list.
Highguard Guns Tier List: All Ranked
In our Highguard guns tier list, we have decided to rank the ten guns available now since the Raid Tools fall into a different class of their own. This list is segregated into three divisions - S (best guns), A, and B (worst guns), based on how easy it is to control their recoil and deal consistent damage.
S Tier

In the S tier of this Highguard guns tier list, we have three weapons that are easy to use. They also provide a high, consistent damage output. These guns excel in all ranges (bar the Paladin shotgun) and should be the first weapons beginners should master using. They are:
- Vanguard: If you want an assault rifle with a good firing rate, excellent recoil stability, and decent damage output, the Vanguard is easily the best gun in Highguard. Working similarly to an unsilenced M4 from Counter-Strike 2, this weapon lets you deal serious damage from a distance, which is great since the maps are big with wide open spaces for firefights to break. With high accuracy and steady recoil, this gun excels across all ranges.
- Big Rig: The hard-to-get Big Rig is a unique weapon you can't add to your loadout from the start since it's only available as loot from Supply Drops that spawn in the second round. If you want a big machine gun with a steady rate of fire with serious damage output across all ranges, this weapon has you covered. Its recoil and limited ammo are its only downsides. If you get a hold of one of these, you can easily mow down enemies in the blink of an eye.
- Paladin: The Paladin is the best shotgun in Highguard since it has automatic fire. It lets you fire by holding down the shoot button instead of tapping it every time. Surprisingly, this gun is effective at medium ranges, which is rare for a shotgun in most FPS games. At close-range skirmishes inside bases, this weapon can be a serious threat to enemies if you land your shots.
| Gun | Type |
|---|---|
| Vanguard | Assault Rifle |
| Big Rig | LMG |
| Paladin | Shotgun |

A Tier

The A-tier weapons in this Highguard guns tier list have pretty good stats, but fail to make it to the top due to certain drawbacks. The three guns in the A tier of this Highguard tier list are:
- Ranger: The Ranger is a potent sniper that people with good aim can easily pop off with. While it has limited ammo and a slow fire rate, it can kill all enemies in just two shots. Landing your shots can be difficult since enemies can move fast and get out of your scope's sight.
- Viper: The Viper is a deadly SMG at close range, as it has the highest fire rate in this game. Its high recoil makes it difficult for players to control its spray, more so at mid to long ranges, where most fights will take place. In close ranges, it's one of the best Highguard guns.
- Dynasty: If you prefer the AK-47 over the more refined M4, the Dynasty is what you should be using. Compared to its superior sister, the Vanguard, this weapon has higher recoil and a slower rate of fire, compensated by its higher damage output.
| Weapon | Type |
|---|---|
| Ranger | Sniper |
| Viper | SMG |
| Dynasty | Assault Rifle |
B Tier

In this Highguard guns tier list, B-tier weapons are not worth using, as you have better options to include in your loadout. The four guns in this rank are:
- Saber Rifle: The Saber Rifle works similarly to Halo's battle rifle since it has a three-bullet burst fire. Since most players will be constantly moving on their mounts and sliding across the map, landing shots can become very tedious. It still is pretty good at long ranges when used with a scope.
- Corsair: The Corsair SMG functions very similarly to the Saber Rifle above since it also has a three-shot burst fire, which is typically not good in a game with fast-moving enemies and long-range firefights.
- Longhorn: If you like using the Wingman from Apex Legends or the Sheriff from Valorant, the Longhorn can be your best friend. With a low rate of fire, this weapon is best suited to skilled aimers who can land headshots more consistently.
- Kraken: Finally, we have the Kraken, a decent shotgun that can be deadly at close range. It's only overtaken by the better Paladin, which is why this lands at the bottom of our Highguard best weapons tier list. It also has a slower rate of fire, higher recoil, and reload speed compared to the Paladin. It does more damage than the former, especially at close ranges.
| Weapon | Type |
|---|---|
| Saber Rifle | SMG |
| Corsair | SMG |
| Longhorn | Revolver |
| Kraken | Shotgun |
