Highguard Wardens Tier List: Best Characters To Master First

Highguard launched on January 26, 2026, with eight playable characters called Wardens. Each of these characters has special skills that make them distinct from each other.

Just like any other hero shooter, however, some Wardens are better at capturing objectives and providing support during teamfights than others. Let's have a look at the Highguard Wardens Tier List to see which are the best Highguard Wardens in this new 3v3 raid shooter.

Highguard Wardens Tier List: Ranked From Best to Worst

We have divided this Highguard Wardens Tier List into three tiers - S (the best), A, and B (the worst). They have been placed in these tiers based on how well their skills can be utilised in teamfights to capture objectives and provide support to teammates. Here's a list of all the best Wardens in Highguard, ranked from best to worst:

S-Tier

S-tier wardens have a strong set of abilities that help them excel in multiple situations throughout every match. Their kits are also easy to learn and master, making them great for new players. The top two best Highguard Wardens are:

Scarlet:

• Scarlet's tactical ability (Sandstorm) lets her turn invisible to enemies.
• While they can still spot you if you get near them, she excels at being both a mid and long-range attacker. Her passive ability (Shifting Sands) lets you pass through walls, which is great during the raid phase.
• Finally, her ultimate (Whirling Blades) lets her turn into Jett from Valorant, allowing you to shoot daggers from a distance whose ammo regenerates if you kill an enemy.

Overall, she is a stealthy Warden who will shine in the hands of skilled players with aim and can tactically place themselves during firefights.

Redmane:

• Redmane is one of the best Wardens in Highguard thanks to his tactical Pounce, letting you break enemy walls and damage them.
• His ultimate Beasts Roar breaks all ways in the vicinity and damages enemies, letting him shine during the Raid phase.

He is an effective character to play aggressively since his passive Enrage increases his reload and movement speed after killing enemies.

Atticus:

Atticus is one of the best beginner-friendly characters since he has a powerful yet easy-to-learn kit.

• His tactical ability lets him throw Shockspears that stick and zap nearby enemies.
• His ultimate Powerstorm is an upgraded version of his tactical, allowing him to hover in the air and shoot Shockdarts that deal a lot of AoE damage and break walls.
• He has a passive ability called Supercharged Axe, which lets him throw his electrified axe to deal damage and break Versper crystals quickly.

A Tier

A-tier characters in this Highguard Wardens Tier List are great agents who excel in some situations, becoming less useful in others, unlike S-tier Wardens. The three Wardens on this tier are:

Mara:

• Mara is an excellent support character whose tactical Soul Armour lets you give allies more shield energy than they already have.
• Her ultimate Immortal Core creates a new spawn point that allies can use to get to the chase during the Raid phase after planting bombs on the generator.
• She also has an excellent passive (Sacrifice) that lets her destroy enemy Soul Orbs to refill her tactical use.

Kai:

• Kai is one of the best defenders in this Highguard Wardens Tier List since his tactical lets him create an Ice Wall you can use as cover, similar to Groot from Marvel Rivals.
• You can also create a hole in the wall to shoot unsuspecting enemies through it. He also has a useful passive called Frozen Repair that lets him repair destroyed walls in bases, which will be helpful during the raid phase.
• His ultimate turns you into the Frost Giant, who can't shoot but instead gets new melee and jump attacks that deal tons of damage.

Moreover, he gains a substantial HP, making him unkillable.

Condor:

Condor is a good recon Warden that you will be able to use better as you learn the layouts of all the maps and bases.

• Her Eyes in the Sky tactical lets her send out her feathery friend to reveal nearby moving enemies, akin to a Sova recon dart from Valorant.
• She also has the Hunter's Instinct passive that alerts you whenever enemies are nearby.
• Last but not least, her ultimate Soaring Guardian lets her place three smoke clouds that block the line of sight and reveal enemies as long as they are inside them.

Overall, she is an excellent support character that shines in coordinated plays.

B Tier

Finally, the B-Tier of this Highguard Wardens Tier List consists of characters that are not effective in most situations, be it while gathering loot, attacking, or defending. The two weakest Wardens in the game right now are:

Una:

Una is pretty weak when it comes to the Gear Up phase and the Raid phase when attacking the enemy base.

• Her tactical ability, Forest Wisps, summons spirits that throw concussion grenades at enemies it can see.
• These spirits also appear to give random valuable loot because she has the Helping Hand passive.
• Her ultimate Tree Walker lets you call forth a large tree spirit that lobs grenades at nearby enemies it can see.

As such, Una is only useful when defending choke points and bases, since her spirits don't move and can be killed easily.

Slade:

Slade is an easy-to-use attacker that fails to live up to its potential compared to other offensive Wardens.

• His tactical ability lets you send out a stream of Heatwave that damages all enemies and destroys walls.
• If you miss using Molotov cocktails from Counter-Strike 2, his passive Firebomb turns all your grenades into fiery magma grenades.
• Finally, his ultimate Firestorm lets him rain down fire from the sky, which damages enemies and breaks the roofs of breakable buildings in the base.
