Mexico will be heading into the United States with high expectations which are sometimes not very realistic. Mexico is the dark-horse candidate who are not among the favorites to win in the United States.

Mexico veterans goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa and forward Hirving Lozano were surprisingly left out of the Copa America squad as the boss Jaime Lozano wants to usher into a new era of talent ahead of the 2026 World Cup. Ochoa who was a mainstay in the squad for the last three World Cup tournaments has 150 caps with the national side, dating back to 2004.

When will the final Mexico 2024 squad be announced for Copa America 2024?

The final 23-man roster for the Mexico Copa America 2024 squad will be announced before June 12, 2024. World Cup veterans Guillermo Ochoa, Raul Jimenez, and Hirving Lozano have been left out of the provisional Mexico squad.

Mexico will kick off its Copa America campaign against Jamaica on June 22 in the United States, followed by Venezuela on June 26 and Ecuador on June 30.
