India's latest spin bowling sensation Manav Suthar has received a maiden call-up for the ongoing County Championship. The left-arm spinner has signed a deal with Warwickshire on a short-term contract.

Suthar recently made a dream Test debut as he helped India defeat Afghanistan by a record margin. Not only with the ball, he also showed his batting capabilitites with useful runs down order. Manav Suthar County cricket presence is an achievement for the youngster as he aims to build his international career.

Manav Suthar To Play For Warwickshire

Warwickshire Performance Director, James Thomas, expressed his delight after signing Manav Suthar for the rest of the games. He spoke about Suthar's excellent domestic season, where he impressed with his bowling.

“We’re delighted to welcome Manav to the Bears, at a really exciting time for the team. We’ve played some good red-ball cricket already this season, and Manav will bring a new aspect to our bowling attack. It shows how highly he’s rated in India after his selection to their Test team last week, so it’s going to be great to have him around the group.”

In reply, Manav Suthar expressed his excitement to play for Warwickshire county cricket team for the couple of matches. He hopes to contribute to Warwickshire's excellent season and take them to the title win.

“I’m incredibly excited to be joining Warwickshire for the next two County Championship games. The team have started the season very well, so I’m hoping that I can play a part in helping them in their push for the title,” Suthar said after being selected to play for Warwickshire.

Manav Suthar's Memorable Test Debut

Manav Suthar Warwickshire stint comes after a scintillating Test debut in New Chandigarh where he picked up seven wickets in the match. It included a magnificent six-wicket haul in the first innings.

Suthar picked up the big wickets of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Rahmat Shah in this match and provided India with crucial breakthroughs. He also became the second Indian player after Ravichandran Ashwin to pick up a six-wicket haul on Test debut.

Suthar has been one of the best bowlers in India over the last few years. His impressive domestic performances earned him his maiden Test call-up. Over the years, there have been a no. of Indian players in county cricket and Manav Suthar is the latest to hjoin this elite list.
