IPL 2025: Chennai Super Kings' Torrid Campaign
Chennai Super Kings, one of the best teams in the IPL, didn't have the kind of outing they would've wanted in the last season of the league. They struggled badly, and this was the first time in the history of the league that they failed to qualify for the playoffs in two consecutive seasons. CSK were jolted earlier after skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad was ruled out of the tournament with an elbow injury. In his absence, MS Dhoni was appointed as the captain of the team. However, he couldn't do any good as the team finished in the last spot in the points table.
They would be keen to make a strong comeback next season and lift their sixth title. CSK will be captained by Ruturaj Gaikwad in the league next year, and they will be keen to add some match-winners to the team.
