The BGIS 2026 Grand Finals are just a week away. The community already knows the 16 teams participating in the finale to be held between March 27, 2026 and March 29, 2026, at the Chennai Trade Centre. The tournament has a huge prize pool of 4 crore INR.

The national BGMI tournament of the country will crown a new champion next week. While all the finalists are capable of winning it, we have compiled a list of the top teams that may become the next winners based on their form and gameplay.

5. Hero Xtreme Godlike

Hero Xtreme Godlike are one of the top 5 teams in the BGIS 2026 Grand Finals. This team has arguably the highest 'gun power' in the lobby. Godlike has been very consistent in this edition of BGIS 2026.

After the initial setback where they finished 13th in BGIS 2026 The Grind, the team sailed through Round 4, Quarter Finals and Survival Stage with top 3 finishes. The team stuttered on day 3 of the BGIS 2026 Semifinal, where they only got 5 points in matches, but came back with a first-place finish in the Survival Stage.

They joined the BGIS 2026 Grind in Group C. They qualified for BGIS 2026 Round 3 and have since then been unstoppable. Under the leadership of experienced IGL Punk, the team showed potential by taking three chicken dinners in the BGIS 2026 Semi Finals with 115 points in total.

The team is also well-balanced with the likes of veteran players like Tracegod and Ninjajod. The Wolves may howl their way to the trophy if they stick to their passive-aggressive zone-centric playstyle.

3. K9 Esports

The BGMS 2025 Champions, K9 Esports, carry the expectations of their fans to deliver in the grand finale. K9 Esports got the best start on this tournament when they finished at the top of the 'The Grind' table in Group A. They directly secured their place in the Quarter Finals in the main competition.

Their performance went downwards in the semis, where they were consistently overpowered in terms of gun-game and tactical rotations. After ending semis at 21st position with just 65 points, the team bounced back in the Survival Stage with better gameplay, getting 85 points and finished 6th.

With the IGL Omega leading the clutches from the front and rising star Knight leading their finish count, if the likes of Slug and former BGIS MVP Ninjaboii get going, K9 can make easy work of any lobby.

2. iQOO Soul

The OG team of the BGMI community, Soul, has been wreaking havoc in the BGIS 2026 lobby from the very start. The team directly qualified for the Quarter Finals from the Grind and has since never looked back.

Unlike the last two editions, Soul has improved their gun power to a huge extent. The team ended with the highest 'Finish Count' in Semi finals with 116 frags in just 18 matches. Their 3 assaulters, Goblin, Legit and Joker are in the list of top fraggers of BGIS 2026 with 41, 48 and 47 finishes respectively.

Nakul is so far the best IGL of BGIS 2026 with a rating of 1.62. He has already secured 4 chicken dinners and 10 top 5 finishes. If they carry on their form, nobody is stopping Soul from lifting the trophy.

The BGIS 2026 favourites tag goes to Team Orangutan. This team comes with international experience and an unreal synergy. The team has been together for the last 2 years and has since won BMSD and represented India at PMGC 2025.

Orangutan has been the most consistent team in BGIS 2026 so far. They never had a glorifying moment because they performed consistently under the radar. After a horrible performance on day 1 of the semis, the team made an outrageous comeback on days 2 and 3 to finish second with 150 points.

Aaru, the veteran IGL, has been in great form and currently ranks 4th in the list of best IGLs of BGIS 2026 with a 1.45 rating. He led OG to 3 wins in the semis. AkOP is also in the charts of MVPs with 43 finishes so far.

For the first time, two underdog teams will also feature in the LAN finals in Chennai. The finals are expected to be intense and an emotional ride for both fans and players.
