While most of the West Indies batters are one of the most dangerous batsmen in the world, and are batting at a very high strike-rate, Brandon King has lacked consistency and the ability to hit boundaries. The right-handed batter has played six matches in the tournament so far and scored only 92 runs at a below-par average of 15.33 and a strike-rate of just 116.45.

Adding to it, his replacement at the opening spot Roston Chase, played a blinder and helped West Indies get an excellent start at the top. Chase scored 40 off just 25 balls, an innings which included 5 fours and 1 six.
